PhillyDude Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Thinking this is the major reason why woman never move up from texting a guy she meets offline because she is already chatting with him through the phone from the beginning. So she probably figures why move from texting when she has already been chatting that way due to her phone accessing the site. Am I the only person who the planet who accesses the dating site from my computer???

bluenite Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 I used Match and preferred checking the site using my phone. Probably an 80% to 20% ratio of phone vs. computer. Much more convenient.

And that just seems like a easy way to get stood up I haven't had a problem at all. Only have had one person really not give a phone number or meet up when I've asked. Haven't been stood up, I did have one not wanting to trade phone numbers until we met, but that has been about it. I just say something like "I've liked exchanging emails with you and want to know if you would be interested in meeting for drinks or coffee to see how we interact in person?" If I've gotten to 4 emails, I can tell they are interested and I'm interested. If someone replies to a message, but doesn't actually ask a question, I just ignore them as they don't appear interested at all and have had 4 or 5 one way communication until I have up. So I make sure they seem interested. Also being in Philly might hurt you two ways, one lots of guys so they have more choice and two, more likely for a crazy killer type? I live in Louisville, 1.4 million in the metro area and is usually ranked one of the top safest cities for areas over a million people. Also down here we have southern hospitality, it is not uncommon to just have conversations struck up while waiting in line somewhere. I've never had that happen anywhere else and friends from outside the area have commented on it and said nothing like that happened at home (if they were from a city)
