sarahfort Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Hi there, This may sound silly, but my boyfriend of over 2 years has been gone a couple of weeks and I still have to wait 5 more weeks to see him. He is away to practice golf, and I usually see him 5/6 times a week, even when we are busy we still make time even before bed to talk about our days and lay in eachothers arms. This is the longest I've ever had to spend away from him - I'm just wondering if anybody else has missed someone so much , and how you handled being away for so long. I realise I'm lucky to even have someone so important to miss. Is 5 more weeks really going to seem like an eternity or does 5 weeks fly by?? We can text and facetime/skype before bed. But sometimes seeing him just makes me more sad and miss him further. Is there anything Someone can suggest to either make missing him less painful or suggestions of nice things I can do for him when I see him at the airport in 5 weeks? **We're in our 20's and I could not go the entire length of the trip to do academic commitments.
Leegh Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Just try to take a day at a time. Time tends to go slower when we are waiting for an important event, etc., but in the meantime you can plan what you are going to wear when you meet him at the airport, etc. It's a good sign that you miss him a lot, and it sounds as if he is worth waiting for!
