Opinion needed.

I went NC on a girl about a month ago after she dumped me, call me a douchebag and said she had a horrible time on a date. She did however say that she still wanted to be friends.

I was shocked and pretty upset, as I am not a douchebag in the least. I went NC right there.

So it's my bday today and she texts me to ask if I'm cool being friends. I have no idea if she remembered it was my birthday or a random coincidence, I'm assuming the latter.

Do I:

Keep ignoring ( so far that's what I am doing)

or do I explain that there is no "being friends" as that is really degrading to me, and send a link to the Internet so she can read up on how guys feel about the whole topic.

Ok, that would be petty, but IS there a graceful way to explain it so she gets the point. I'm looking to take the high road here.

Thx!

Why would you want to 'be friends' with her after she told you she had a horrible time with you...

I would tell her sorry you don't want to be friends with her, she can't even remember your birthday.. what kinda friend would she make? lol

Ask yourself what are the benefits of her and you staying friends? It sounds like more trouble then anything.

I would do one of the following:

1) Not bother responding. Why be friends with someone who thinks you're a douchebag?

2) Respond with sarcasm: "so you accept douchebags for friends?" and not respond to any follow-ups to that mssg.

Either way, I'd not want to be friends with someone who thinks I'm a douchebag....... Better for me, better for him/her... better for everyone involved! :D

Funny how they always wanna be your friends after they rip your heart out and stomp on it. :D
