Feelin Frisky Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 (edited) 1. dimples ... Ha. I have one. It would have been nice to have two but you can actually do a lot with one. (It's on the side cut out of my av picture). Edited January 6, 2013 by Feelin Frisky 1
carhill Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 My weakness doesn't revolve around any specific feature or behavior, but rather a rarely experienced dynamic in which I 'see' the lady and she feels 'open' to me. If I had to describe it visually, it might appear like how David Lean lit Julie Christie in this scene in Dr. Zhivago. Only has happened a few times in life.
Phoe Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Attraction in looks: Taller than me, dark hair, and a heartmelting smile <3 I also tend to go for the geeky/nerdy type. Glasses are lovely.... TWICE I found myself crushing on a physics professor in college. My stomach would do loop-de-loops all through class! Personality Attraction: Humorous, Silly, Doesn't take things too seriously. Having an interest in science and music (a man who plays the piano always gets to me) always attracts me. And MUST LOVE ANIMALS. Any guy who has all of the above but doesn't have a soft spot in his heart for animals is a no go! 1

Lara's eyes---and "somewhere my love" strikes up on the balilika. I totally ID. 1
xxoo Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Protectiveness. Not to be confused with possessiveness!
Radu Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Pls find another picture for that, i am kinda curious now. I studied some old pre-feminism movies made by Hollywood for tips, and this would be pretty interesting.
carhill Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 I know that scene without looking. Lara's eyes---and "somewhere my love" strikes up on the balilika. I totally ID. As the first time it authentically happened was indeed during a cold, snowy day in the former Soviet Union, the music of Maurice Jarre did indeed ring true, then and now. Another aspect which no doubt affects success negatively is that it rarely happens right away, on first meeting, rather over time as interaction proceeds. Then, sometimes, rarely, that moment arrives. I recall the last time was in a little Russian grocery store in Pennsylvania a couple years back. Perhaps life and love would be easier if it were an obvious physical feature but that's how it's worked out.
tuxedo cat Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Intelligence and wit -- absolutely necessary Warmth Attentiveness -- I want to feel like I have his undivided attention when we're together Good social sense Literate and interested in the world Feeler more than thinker, but capable of rational thought Dark brown eyes

Then, sometimes, rarely, that moment arrives. I recall the last time was in a little Russian grocery store in Pennsylvania a couple years back. Perhaps life and love would be easier if it were an obvious physical feature but that's how it's worked out. A few years ago I went to Brooklyn where Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys was doing a free outdoor concert in a band shell in Coney Island. I arrived early and wandered from Coney Island into the Brghton Beach section. This area is famous as being the gateway to America for Russians. I have to tell you, I saw more beautiful white women there than I've ever seen anywhere in my life. I thought my goodness, how would my life have been if I lived in a place where there were so many beautiful women like that. I lived in New York for more than 50 years and had always experienced it as either a guarded place or pluralistic-- titled heavily in favor of minorities of color--not that that is "bad", it's just a fact that I was really the minority. It was truly striking experience to just walk around Brighton and see grown up single women just milling about shopping the markets and fruit stands. I didn't engage in any dialogue or hear anyone speaking, but it was just Caucasian female heaven that I wished I could have stumbled into living among as opposed to my otherwise "distanced" fate. This probably sounds a bit racist but I don't mean it to be. But the balalaika music strikes up in my head when I recall that day. 1
todreaminblue Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 (edited) white shirts, white singlets,a man who is comfortable in a suit I don't mean just wears it for the sake of it but enjoys wearing it,i love tying a mans ties, i go ocd to get it perfect...untie tie it tie it untie it again,,,,,smilin,,......that gets annnoying probably but i like it so he has to understand that so my weakness is a guy who lets em do that, and doesnt get pissed and do i thimself........have to get it right..... but also a guy who can wear thongs on his day off , a man who can say something that makes my jaw drop and shut me up because i so didnt expect him to say it while tying his tie three or four times............cough...ahem...im out..... monicaelise Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Athletic men who are bigger than me with light eyes, good teeth, very short hair, and clean-shaven, well-scrubbed faces. I'm a sucker for shiny, "americun" looking men. I know it's not the most popular or sophisticated answer, but after having spent time in at least 20 countries, I have come to truly appreciate our big, beautiful boy-men.

silicone Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 I used to be attracted to some Girls who were tall; but now I don't find females attractive, maybe it's the hurt and pain that I've been consumed with. I never did understand women liking British accents (there isn't a British accent), I've completed elocution classes, but I was raised in a rich area hence I still sound rather "posh" at times. Hint, I have a RP English approach in the way I talk.
Imported Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Good attitude: we're gonna win this race. Feminene, but not helpless. Does not whine and if she complains, its with good reason and is brief and then we're solving that ****, taking care of business. Of course physically attractive, but I don't care how attractive she is if she doesn't have belief down to her core that everything will be fine and the confidence to help make it so.
Michael Johnson Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Soft, clear skin. Petite/slender build and a soft, fairly high pitched voice. Preferably under 20 years old. I like high pitched also.
monicaelise Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 How tall are you? Is it a deal breaker if the guy's a blonde? I'm 5'11" and I love blondes! In fact, I'm quite partial to blue-eyed blondes. All but one of my partners in the past 20 years have been blonde or very close to it (sandy, or very light brown). Very fair, blonde, light-eyed tall dudes are where it's at for me. I'll leave the olive, swarthy complected specimens to the other boys and girls on this board. Just thought I'd share.

I often wonder what portion of our preferences is formed by our first few passionate relationships. I know some of my preferences were formed when I was 18 and first powerfully in love, and even though I'm several years out from that now I can still tell it significantly shaped my preferences in women. I wonder if I had happened to fall in love with a small Chinese girl, for example, if I'd have a thing for Chinese women for the rest of my life.
TheBigQuestion Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Pasty white natural redheads. Big asses on white girls. Time to take a cold shower.

Well, mam, I think you're a nice person and all, but 20 years ago I was a newborn child.. That, and you're still a bit taller than me.
Alia_alia Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Am I the first to mention this but hmmm. A deep slow confident voice? Also being reserved and not too out there.
