Today my STBXW and I were talking when I picked up the kids. She made a comment about what my family thinks of her right now. I told her they don't think that. She told me that her and my mom have been talking, I didn't ask what they were talking about. But she feels my mom is blaming her for everything going on right now and she feels my family is mad at her. I told her they have no hard fellings towards her. Which I know they're not, because my mom told me she has no hard feelings towards her, because of my actions. I asked her if my mom has been saying we should work it out, and she said yes. So all I said was well that is a subject that you would have to open up if you wanted to. And I left it at that. She didn't say anything back, not a word. But she looked like she was going to start crying. I asked her what was wrong and she said I'm going to miss my babies (because I have them for my weekend and she has a hard time just being away from them for a couple of hours let alone 2 days). I said I know I miss them like crazy to when you have them, it will be alright. And I let her say her goodbyes and I said ill see you in a couple of days. And left, when I was driving away I could tell she was crying. Its already starting to eat away at her.

 

But here is my question. should I tell my mom to back off, or should I let them keep talking because it seems to be getting at her, and just tell my mom to reassure her that the family is not mad at her when they talk?
