mtber75 Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 My new year started off well...So I though? I meant this attractive woman at a new years eve party and we really hit it off. She was telling me personal stuffs like her family and all. I touched her a few times and I don't think it bothered her because she got closer to me. This went on well past 2am. When I reached for my phone (I was going to ask her for her number), she immediately gave me HER number! She even verified my number by calling me so I got her number on my phone which I did. She even kissed me good night:) Well, I was feeling all pumped up because I was pretty sure that I can get a date out of this. After 2 days I texted her saying that I enjoyed our time together and I stated that I really enjoyed her story about her and her family (she was getting emotionally talking about it at the party). OK, so I waited for a response, NONE??? It been only 1 day, but I thinking its time to move on. What gives....She gave me HER number, we were touchy, feely all night and I even got a kiss from her! Can there be any other reasons why she's not responding?

The answer seems simple to me, and always appears to be one of three things:She isn't in to you and is hoping you'll get the hint.She is into you and just hasn't responded yet (busy, out of reception area, phone died, thinks men should call rather than text, etc.)She is into you and did not get your text. This happens more often than people think.There is a relatively simple solution here - pick up the phone and call her. You can get a straight answer, and maybe even a date much faster that way. I know it's scary but its better than sitting around wondering. Good luck.

I'm sure she text because she had a Iphone! But you could be right, some women prefer calls especially on the initial follow ups. I'll wait a few more days to call her than. It could be that she was turned off by my usual text wording (u know how u shorten words)? But she's around my age (thirties) so she should be comfortable with texting etiquette? Who knows? Women are confusing?
clia Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Was she drinking? It could be that her inhibitions were lowered, she was having fun, boozing it up, she gave you her number...and then when the harsh light of day hit, she realized she really wasn't interested in you after all.

If she doesn't, you have your answer.

I have a phone that isn't an iPhone, but is pretty damn similar, but I still hate texting. And she might be turned off by what you mentioned. Only one way to know. Once you're in your 30s, I think you should be done with texting girls to ask them out.

Yes she was. But it was New Years Eve party so you expect everyone to be a little boozed up. I suspect that she might be embarrassed to talk to me because she was boozed up that night. But she was talking just fine and she had her bodyguards around her (girlfriends). I'll still give her a call one more time though.
