Scorpio Posted August 18, 2004 Posted August 18, 2004 How do you approach someone to start a conversation when they're 'on the job'?? I really want to establish at least a friendship with a guy, but the only time I get to see him is when he's working. I don't think it's really proper to bother him while he's working, but I don't see any other way. So, now I'm stuck with trying to figure out how to approach him without putting him on the spot in front of his co-workers and customers. Any suggestions are definitely welcome!! Thank you!!
PurpleAngel Posted August 18, 2004 Posted August 18, 2004 Can you give us more information? What’s does he do?
PassingBy Posted August 18, 2004 Posted August 18, 2004 Ask him to "help me over here with this real quick?" and then just say flat out "I wondered if you'd like to have lunch sometime?" Like if he works retail, ask a question about a product. You have the customer's right to ask whoever you want to ask for help, and no one thinks a thing of it.
