so if a ex wanted to meet for a drink after being broken up for over a year, and you are both single, what would you do?

Depending on reasons:

why did we breakup.

our feelings for one another are still high.

If we just brokeup, yeah maybe, if I felt for her still and figured she did me as well. Now if she cheated or something....no.

What would you be looking to gain from it? (How do you feel and what do you want?)

Probably jump at the chance, depending on where the both of us stood, if the other still had feelings, etc. Are you asking because this is your situation? Does it bother you and that's why your asking?

It's totally cool! You are a wiser person and I'm sure some changes have occurred with both of you. I've done it a couple times and 1 was like wow, really? And the other was like, this is pretty cool. Have fun! That's what it's all about! Keep it fun and simple...

I guess I would be okay meeting for a drink or two. It's just a drink. It would depend how civil he could be, though. I could never meet up with an ex who carried bitterness, and started saying curse words and vulgar things. If we can't be civil to each other, then I'd not agree to meet for a drink. Being friends with one, I can deal with, but keep your hands to yourself.
