feeling a little desperate for some support right now :(

Some of you might know my story, but my ex dumped me over what I think is a case of G.I.G.S. I tried at first to change his mind, then I tried to just be his friend, and finally I decided that I had to go No Contact after an emotional meltdown one night. I went No Contact for three full days. Then on the fourth day, he called and texted me. I didn't respond - but he did it three more times during the day. On the last time, I caved (I know ) and answered and now I'm just feeling hugely set-back. He was calling to make sure that I was okay, I think it was a genuine concern on his part because he knew I was not doing well, but it re-ignited some sort of hope in me and I ended up just feeling like **** again, after feeling like I had made some progress.

He and I had a heart-to-heart and I told him that he couldn't contact me anymore. During this heart-to-heart he told me that he still thinks I'm "the one" but that we both have a lot of work we need to do on ourselves, and that the relationship is too difficult with the distance. I agree and told him that in order for me to move on from this I had to go No Contact and just work on myself, without holding on to a hope for a future with him.

So now I feel like I'm almost back to square one :( I was feeling good after the 3 1/2 days that I had gone without speaking to him. Is it always like this? I mean... it has to get easier, right? :(

Hey. Yes of course it get better and easier and you actually start to find some real inner peace. Dont worry, you only replied, its not like you caved and called him. But, now straight back to no contact. Seriously, you will be back to 3-4 times in a flash :):)

out of sight, out of mind. the longer you go without communicating, the easier it's going to be for you.
