ls32ssibm Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 Doctors have told me I have a persistent health issue when it comes to metabolizing water due to a heat injury or "stroke" I suffered during military training a few years ago, and one in particular recommended some time in a sauna wouldn't be bad for me. I don't fully understand it, but anyway... I am also training for a physical fitness test, so I thought I'd be killing two birds with one stone by signing up for some "hot yoga" classes. You basically do plyometrics in a 100 degree room and sweat "balls". I was very surprised when I attended my first class today and quickly noticed, out of about 30 people in the class, I was the only male. A few of the ladies were older, but most were in their early 20s and very attractive. I kept to myself and stayed near the back, since I am a newbie and surely looked like an idiot doing some of the poses. I am well aware that the instructors (also attractive women) are on the lookout for guys who go into the classes just to pick up women, so I'm going to just enjoy the class for what it is (for now anyway), but damn, was not expected that. Hopefully I'll eventually get the nerve to strike up a conversation. Hell, even if they assume I'm gay they shouldn't be intimidated and that may not be such a bad thing at first either.
2sure Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 I've been doing bikram yoga. Usually several men in each class if not more and those that have been attending awhile are very good. The beginners are mixed in age, weight and level of fitness. During our class there is no speaking. It's nice.
