rbolduc625 Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 Went on a date with a girl I’ve known just over a week. We each had a great time, laughing, having fun, talking, etc… She commented several times how much fun she was having as did I. The next day I texted her saying “had a great time yesterday, looking forward to next time.” She then texted back “thank you for a fun afternoon!” OK, now I’m hoping I’m not reading too much into this. But in her text she didn’t mention a next time, although she did during the date in a couple different instances. Honestly, am I reading into this like an idiot? I normally don’t stress too much over stuff like this, but I really want to see her again and I don’t want to come across as needy. Nor have I liked someone this much after the first date, damn I hate these games
Lani Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 Give it a couple of days, and maybe call her or send her a text with something relative to the two of you. Like 'I just heard a song by (someone you talked about) and it made me think of you. Any chance you're free this Friday?' This way she'll know you remember things about your great date, and that you're thinking of her (trust me, chicks love this!). If she says she's not free, and doesn't offer an alternative time/date, then you know she's not as keen as you.
Maneater Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 yes I see what you mean, there was no - next time. but sometimes you get in a hurry and you forget to be specific so I wouldn't read into it yet. text her again in another day or 2. If it makes you feel better, I was super into this new guy that when he messaged me asking me out for drinks...I was so busy texting him back I actually missed the ENTIRE LINE where you actually asked me out. And never realized it until the next day! And I was really into him.
