what does a hug mean

Hi,

 

Today, was my last day at work. During the short time I was there me (I am a girl) and this other guy became very close. We have great chemistry and always teased each other. We were always together and it was apparently obvious to everyone that we became tight.

People joke about it- once me and him told another colleague that we have something to tell him so he said what that u got married?

Whenever I used to ask him why he doesn't hug he used to say coz he isn't gay. Never understood what he meant.

 

Anyways, I walked him to his car to separate from him although it is obvious we will be in touch and see each other.

When we got to the car he quickly got inside said bye and then said just joking. He got out of the car and gave me a very warm close hug. I was shocked by it and also that it lasted for longer than I thought it would. I think he also rubbed my back slightly-can't remember coz i was shocked.

Then twice he gave me a side hug. When he got back into his car he took my hands in his for a few good seconds. He then started driving and then again stopped and took my hands in his. Later he texted me to tell me something and to c that i got home ok.

 

What does all the hugging and touching mean to a guy? Was he just being a good friend?

Sounds like a green light to me. He didn't want to hug you in front of your work people, and then when you were alone he just wanted to touch you.
