Does a girl in a bar have to be half naked to get attention?

I think I'm going out for New Year's Eve tonight with a different friend of mine, she's black and all the people we are going out with are black but we are going to a bar that is mostly white so I'm hoping to get hit on by some attractive white guys :). I am thinking of wearing jeans and a sequin tank top with a black blazer and black up to the knee boots. I know it isn't the most revealing outfit and I know compared to my friends who are going to wear short dresses or boob out stuff lol I thought about wearing this tight lacy skirt but its cold and I want to feel comfortable. Do you think I will still get hit on if I wear jeans and stuff instead of a skirt?

Yes. I ALWAYS wore jeans out and I got hit on.

Honestly it doesn't matter what you are wearing, in my opinion. It just matters how good you look in it, and how you act in it.

Wear whatever you feel comfortable in, as long as it's presentable! :) When I was with my ex, I used to avoid wearing jeans (it helped that it was summer, but even tried doing that in the autumn when it was 0 degrees outside), and let me tell you, I regret having gone out of my way to look sexy. He did not deserve it. I should've worn whatever made me feel like I was sexy and comfortable, even if that meant jeans and a regular top. If someone is going to judge me based on my jeans and my top, to hell with them. It's not like I'm going out in my pjs or something! I usually wear pretty stylish stuff, even if it's jeans.. In the winter, I sometimes go a bit out of my way, and wear a thinner top, that makes me feel a bit cold (since I don't drive, I live close to most of the places I hang out at), but whatever, often, if you want to wear something reasonably stylish, you gotta take a bit of cold. But I'd never go around half-naked in winter in order to get a guy's attention. In the summer, I do wear sexy/short dresses, but mostly very reasonable day-to-day stuff, nothing over the top/revealing.

I wore exactly what you just described out to a club a few weeks ago and I got plenty of attention! Just look approachable, smile a lot and dance like no one's watching and you should get plenty of attention.

The outfit you described sounds very cute and appropriate. Also, I think being covered up some can be sexier than letting it all hang out.

I don't understand why it was necessary to mention your friends race.

Wear what you feel like. I don't notice a 100% correlation between what you are wearing and the number of "hits" you get. As long as whatever you pick is flattering to your shape. Oh and you feel comfortable. That is even more critical.

I am wearing a dress with tights. :) (But for the record, I tend to wear dresses or skirts much of the time.) It is in character for me. Although tonight's dress is a bit more "attention getting" than a typical one I would wear.

Certain types of women get hit on no matter what they wear. Others need to dress up more. Others need to flaunt their milkshakes to get attention.

It's NYE. For some reason, when it comes to NYE, half of the young women out and about in town are going to be dressed like they only have 2 square inches of cloth to make an outfit out of. I was at the party central of my city last night (yeah, we're waaay ahead ) and despite it being a cool night, there were hordes of girls in tube dresses so tiny that I swear I could see their buttcheeks. Strutting all the way down a 2 km stretch of road in 6-inch stilettos, too.

I wouldn't really compete with them for the guys who are wanting a NYE ONS. Just go dressed comfortably and enjoy yourself and talk to people.

I have posted about my other friend before and she is white, I have posted about her and how its hard for guys to give me attention when I go out with her, so I mentioned race because that's what seperates them and I fight want confusion about who I was posting about

girl I love to dress up, love heels, love dresses etc. but not in the winter when it's cold! I wear cute boots and skinny jeans etc then. Those girls will prob get hit on, but so? I never had an issue dressing appropriately and still attracting guys, I don't think you will either.

In a club/bar settings? yes. What do you think drunk guys look for?

This is the correct way of thinking. A women wearing next to nothing, and then complaining that she is cold, is ridiculously unattractive.

I ended up not going, she went someplace and wanted to get a hotel and I didn't want to stay in a hotel 45 mins away. However I went out last night and tested this, I wore leggings and boots and a midriff off the shoulder sweater with a tank under to cover myself lol and my friend wore booty shorts and a low cut top. I got hit on but it wasn't a huge deal I didn't want the attention she was getting, the men were rude and grabby and just rude! I'm just going to dress to make myself happy from now on

I bet you'd feel a lot worse if you never got any attention.

I'd kill for the attention that you got, but from women (obviously).

Yes. You most certainly don't need to dress slutty to have men come up to you at a bar. As long as you show up and look nice men will be checking you out.

I think you are cute
