promises Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Honestly, all this board and this xMM have taught me as of late is that I really don't want a relationship in 2013. Or maybe ever. That's all. Happy New Year!
Tenacity Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Honestly, all this board and this xMM have taught me as of late is that I really don't want a relationship in 2013. Or maybe ever. That's all. Happy New Year! I agree. I will never trust a man again... ever. I learned that from my almost 20 year disastrous abusive marriage, and my disastrous A that lasted years. And from the little I have dated after my A, I have still encountered men who lie about being married so they can date. I'm DONE!!!! Men are complete and total SCUM!!!!! Nothing less!

Tenacity I am so sorry you have had all those experiences with me. I was lucky enough to have a lovely husband before he passed away. It's the ones I have met since then that have been ****s!
bentnotbroken Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 If single is where one needs to be in order to heal...I say go for it. I'm not sure that I ever want to trust anyone again..but I do not believe all men are scum. I know too many who are stand up guys and with the Lord's guidance I raised one. 1
Catplates Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 I have read that recovery time from one relationship to another is on the average 3 years. 2013 is a good year to stay single! 2

I am in my mid 40's, but look a lot younger and take care of myself and usually people put me to be about ten years younger than I am. There is nothing and nobody out there... I have searched.... done the dates, the matches, etc. and I am really finished. Maybe I am too picky, but there is nobody out there for me. Ever.

SunsetRed Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 I too, think I should just accept and embrace singleness. Fighting it hasn't done me any good.
