monicaelise Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 All right mr. ginger, as a fellow meathead I will tell you that many women will not appreciate the hard work you've put into your body. In fact, many will be turned off by it (as you're seeing here). I'm not sure what your height is, but if you're a shorter fellow, your build may be working against you a bit. It may be time to consider other physical activities that will create a bit better proportion (less heavy lifting, more fun, light cardio). Very few women genuinely like massive-looking guys. If you're over six foot, disregard what I'm saying, forget about women, and consider competing. Again, I absolutely commend you for all the efforts you've made in approving your physique, but it may be time to begin working on other aspects of yourself. If you're communicating with a lot of women online, work on that spelling/grammar ...as you've seen it will be held against you. Also, work on putting things in perspective. If you're still in California, you'll know that men with your physique are a dime a dozen so you need to give yourself an advantage. You can do this by making an effort to break the stereotype. Pay attention to what women want, not what you think you should be able to demand from them. Listen to them, learn to have fun, and don't take yourself so seriously. You're going to have to work extra hard to not come off as a dick, because even if you aren't one, your appearance doesn't exactly convey "relaxed" or "fun to be around". 1
TheFinalWord Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Most of society is overweight/obese, so I commend you for your efforts. What monicaelise is true. Women that are into working out will like your physique; women that don't typically won't. They may like it when you take your shirt off, but they won't appreciate all the work. Although IMHO, you aren't that big. Muscular, but not massive. I would guess about 180lbs, 5'9"ish? You can never make all women happy. What kind of woman would make you happy? Focus on that IMHO. For your profile, I would say 1) smile more, 2) button up your shirt 3) get rid of the mohawk hair style. You have that club guy look, which may attract girls, but not women as much.

Why are you hitting enter at random points in your sentence? It's like you're trying to write poetry or something. Serious question and I hope you're not offended. Have you ever been diagnosed with a mental disorder?
sydneysider1978 Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Ah, I didn't see that you didn't want to have children. A most (not all, but a LOT) of the women in your target age range will be wanting children if they don't already have them. They will be pretty focused about finding men that do. So I commend you for being straight up about this but I'd say a really high proportion of the single, relationship-minded, childless women in their early-mid 30s wouldn't bother going on a date with you just for this reason. What do you want from internet dating? Casual dating, long-term (but no kids) or hooking up? Also, what area are you in? Normal, sane, single, childless women in their their thirties are pretty common in big cities. You're getting some good advice on here but don't seem to be taking it on board. Well done on getting buff but it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea and isn't a free pass to an easy time dating if the rest of your "stuff" isn't in order.
monicaelise Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 What is this 'world' you speakith of? LOL the one where men strive for single digit body fat levels while maintaining overall bodyweights in excess of 200 lbs, and women can bench their own bodyweight. If you were in it, you wouldn't have thought I was insulting the OP (note I said, "as a fellow meathead" not "you stupid meathead"). 1

Kind of like this: female meathead

Divasu Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 If you can help this guy sort things out better then the entire board, feel free to do so no one is stopping you. Simply being critical of those being critical is laughable. Well, he didn't really ask me to... I took his initial post to be more of a vent. Carry on.

Shaping contouring the body Is just a way of expression. i enjoy working out not only for physical appearance but The endorphins. Just as a skydiver jumps The runner runs The boxer boxes Excersize gives me the same pleasure. 1
