How do you interpret this?

The team leader in my store gives me preferential treatment. Examples include allowing me to swap lunch hours when the rule is against that, talking a lot to me and offering me lifts.

 

Do I interpret that as liking me or finding a friend in me? We have not hung out outside of work though. He also does not talk much about his personal life.

 

Any ideas?
