lookingforyou Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 The team leader in my store gives me preferential treatment. Examples include allowing me to swap lunch hours when the rule is against that, talking a lot to me and offering me lifts. Do I interpret that as liking me or finding a friend in me? We have not hung out outside of work though. He also does not talk much about his personal life. Any ideas?
Monty4321 Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 Could just be him being a friend. But it appears that he probably likes u. But then again, yall don't talk outside of work. I probably wouldn't directly ask him unless u like him. Because if he doesn't, it probably would appear to him that you are hitting on him - could go either way.
Author lookingforyou Posted December 29, 2012 Author Posted December 29, 2012 That means talking about or hanging out after work is more important, right?

Author lookingforyou Posted December 29, 2012 Author Posted December 29, 2012 I'm asking whether he likes me. But from your first reply, it suggests that a good gauge of interest would be if he talks to me outside of work or hangs out with me outside of work. Is that correct?

Yes I think it'll definitely show more interest if yall hung out outside of work and talked outside of work. Also if yall talked about non work things. He could only have a small crush but wants to keep it at that. But if u like him, go ahead and ask him does he have a thing for u. If u r afraid of being turned down, don't make it like u r asking him out.
RedHead33 Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 Most def likes you. Maybe too shy but likes you for sure. Don't allow him to give you further special treatment because other workers might resent you.

Monty4321 Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 Why do you think he wants to keep it at that? How do I ask him without seeming to ask him out? Well i don't know, it was just a thought. Some people have crushes, and act extra nice but doesn't necessarily want anything out of it - but who knows. I wouldn't worry about that. Hmm... Just ask him if he wants to hang out. I'm sorry - i can't really think of a specific way to ask without asking him out. If i think of something I'll let u know.
Author lookingforyou Posted December 30, 2012 Author Posted December 30, 2012 Maybe I better learn to forget this.
