Since guys normally don't text as much unless it's functional, can you assume that the guys who are constantly texting are texting their girlfriends or going after girls they like? Especially because guys don't text guys so often. What's your take?

Especially because guys don't text guys so often. What's your take? My ex (a guy) would text me all the time, and not call me much. He was definitely a text person, at least with me. I never saw him texting anyone else, at least not when we were together. I don't know if he texted other times, like when he was at work (he did text me from work, so he might have texted others too). That said, sometimes he got texts on an app called Viber when we were together, and he wouldn't even look at it. Now that I think about it, I doubt it was any of his guy friends / friends from work... It may have been some girl(s), maybe some Thai prostitutes he'd met in Thailand (he had some of them as friends on his Google+ profile , which he never added me on; ditto for not adding me on facebook, claiming he only used it to connect with people from work).

Probably not. Most guys will be texting family and friends. The only guys I know that constantly text girls are those that are always getting rejected.

However with this girl we pretty much text each other whenever we're not working and not with each other and I don't get bored of it.

I asked her early on whether she thought it was a good idea to chat like this or just wait for the dates, but she said it didn't matter either way. I'm glad because I love the text conversations we can have.

What "He didn't add you on Facebook?" - that is the biggest clue he is hiding something; and that he views you as a "hookup buddy" rather than a "serious girlfriend." On facebook, there's no way in hiding who you really are. Women want their boyfriends to publish "in a relationship with" so that all the other girls on his friend list knows that he is taken, and "making the relationship public" helps prevent him from cheating on you. If a guy refuses to add you on Facebook, run away as fast as you can because he is hiding something or doesn't view you as a "real girlfriend." As for texting, if you boyfriend is texting a lot in your presence, then I think he is talking to other women. But guys text other guys and family members all the time, whether it be jokes or just updates. He may be texting his mom, dad, or brothers.
