If you maintained NC today (technically yesterday now). If you did everything you could to not get overly anxious sitting by your phone and computer waiting for that message that would never come, then congrats you are even more awesome.

 

Now go out and have fun between now and New Years. No more "Will He/She text me on New Years threads" !!!!!!

 

I will be on vacation over New Years, but I look forward to reading some threads about the incredible times people had when I return. Let yourself go, there are thousands if not millions of other people out there waiting to meet an incredible person like you!

I am intending on going out and having a few drinks and enjoying some live music at the local pub both on the 30th and the 31st. The only one who will be miserable and lonely will be my ex, and he deserves it! We could've been spending Christmas and NYE together in person, or, at worst on Skype (LDR), but he opted for a Christmas break-up. His loss, not mine. Plenty of decent men out there who would "kill" for my intelligence and looks, and will respect me.

Held out, glad I did. NYE won't bother me one bit. Wasn't a great day with the ex being next door but it's over.

The nc is good so far neither of us said Merry Christmas to one another. Drama free holiday with family and friends. I hope new years will be like this too or even better.
