Scorpio
Guys, I need some input here. Without giving to much info here... I've known this guy for about two years now, but we've never really established any sort of relationship (friendship, dating relationship, etc.). From the first time that I saw him, I was physically attracted to him. As time went on, my feelings for him sort of died off. He works at a place that's open to the public as a "tourist attraction" I guess you could say. I go there frequently because it's a nice get away for myself and I feel very relaxed there. Anyway, I've been going there for about two years now and we've never really connected or anything. We'd say hi and bye occasionally, but other than that nothing was said. I can say for 100% certainty that I'm very shy around new people (especially guys) and it takes me a long time to open up to someone. From what I've seen of this guy, he's also shy. He appears to be nervous when talks to me (as I appear nervous talking to him to). When we do talk, he laughs (it sounds like it's out of nerves) and moves around like he's fidgety. All of a sudden within the last two weeks, he really seems to be making a conscience effort to talk to me. Not this past weekend, but the weekend prior he really surprised me because as I was leaving, he yelled something to me (he yelled my name that's how I know he was talking to me). The reason that I was so surprised is because there was another guy right there who appeared to be his buddy. From what I've seen, guys seem to be pretty 'macho' and 'selective' of the girls they talk to when they have friends around. Not to mention, he's not really loud and I've never really heard him yell out like that before. So, of course I've been on cloud #9 thinking about him and my feelings from the beginning are all coming back. This past weekend he kind of joked around with me a little bit and we did talk a little bit more, but it was a very minor conversation that lasted about five minutes if that. It wasn't about anything major, but I can't help but wonder if he likes me the same way that I like him. My problem is, I've never had a boyfriend before so I have zero experience in guys and dating. Another problem is that there is no way that I can just go up to him and ask him out or for his phone number. I've extremely shy and I just can't see myself doing that, but if I don't ask soon (or if he doesn't make the first move soon), it's going to months before I can see him again. I'd really like to get something going even if it's just a friendship before it's to late. So here are my questions.... 1- Does it sound like he may be interested in me? 2- What are some of the signs that a guy likes a girl? 3- Are there any subtle clues that I can give him to let him know that I'm interested (without coming on to strong)? Any other advice that can be offered, would be greatly appreciated!! I've let all of my past crushes get away, but I would really like to get something going with this one. I just have no clue where to start!!
PassingBy
He is interested! Look in your newspaper for the Parade or whatever it is in your town that tells about what's going on around town. Find something that you are interested in, and the next time you see him, ask him to attend it with you. If he says no, say something simple like, "Perhaps another time, then?" and leave it at that. This way, he knows you are interested, and there is no "let's go as friends" or "let's go as a date." Be PREPARED to pay, just in case, but hope he pays for it. Ask him, just draw in a big deep breath, and ASK! Find out one way or the other so you can move on, either with the ability to let go of wondering, or as his new girlfriend-to-be! Be brave, don't push, just ask, politely and in one sentence. Would you like to go to the Dinner theatre with me Saturday evening at 8pm for the showing of "La Belle Du Monne"? "No, I'm sorry, I have to work, but I am free on Sunday." "Excellent, perhaps lunch on Sunday, then?" CONGRATULATIONS, you have a date.
