Author veggirl Posted December 24, 2012 Author Posted December 24, 2012 that's unfortunate, Philadelphia is such a shyt hole. It reminded me a lot of Phoenix. Well except I didn't see much sun when I was there His neighborhood is really nice, you dumb old buzzkill
Eternal Sunshine Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 I followed your other thread and glad it has worked out for you How did it happen? Did you guys do LDR or broke up for a while?

Author veggirl Posted December 24, 2012 Author Posted December 24, 2012 I followed your other thread and glad it has worked out for you How did it happen? Did you guys do LDR or broke up for a while? thanks! Well we were broken up when he left. We didn't talk at all for the first few weeks he was there (he moved mid Oct). Then we started talking here and there etc...he asked if I would visit him and I went at the end of November, just for a long weekend. It went really well, it was just comfortable, relaxed, normal...tbh it was weird how it felt because it felt like we had never been apart. I was expecting either this over the top romantic thing, or big time let down. It was just honestly how it had been before he moved. That made me feel really good. So this month we have talked/text/Facetimed regularly. Talked about my visit and were on the same page about that, he asked if I would think about moving there. I kind of blew that off, didn't really say anything tbh. He asked 2 more times and then I thought I better really think about this. He asked a 4th time and we talked about it a lot and agreed to do it! So no we technically were never LDR, we were broken up the whole time. qqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa (lol sorry my cat stepped on the keyboard and I am leaving that!). We weren't in regular contact til prob mid Nov!
Nightsky Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 fckkkfjfkckckfkckkkkkkfck sorry my dick just lost the erection I've had all month and banged around on my keyboard... I'm leaving that. 2
FitChick Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 If you are taking your cat make sure it's a nonstop direct flight and the plane has a heated and pressurized cargo hold with a good track record of shipping animals. Go to the Franklin Institute and walk through the giant heart. I remember that from a grade school class trip. Good luck with your job and relationship. It was good you gave your boyfriend a chance to miss you. 1
Eternal Sunshine Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Aw. I am a cynic on the surface but a romantic at heart. I don't think it will ever change. Love is the best thing in life. It also shows how unpredictable life is and you probably didn't think this would happen when you guys broke up. Hope that you are taking your cat 1
c57dood Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Always be aware of your surroundings in Philly, there's some really bad parts.
Later82012 Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 veggirl, you are a good catch. A few days back I saw you post on some thread and remembered that your thread was one of the first few threads I posted on and I remembered your situation. I went back on your thread to check for any updates and wondered for a few moments what happened there. I wish you all the best. 1

It was good you gave your boyfriend a chance to miss you. I'm torn on if I'm taking my cat or not, but if I do I will prob try to see if she can be under my seat (last time I flew some lady had a dog under hers!). But my cat is an in/outdoor cat and I will be living on a 6th floor with not even a patio....I don't know if it's mean to make her be inside...I'm legit back and forth a lot on this. If I don't take her, she will go live with my friend in her house (she has a doggie door even...but also 2 dogs). Re the last sentence; I agree. I never chased him or anything like that. It wasn't really on purpose...as far as I was concerned, he moved across the country and he left me here and we were broken up. I didn't chase after him or contact him because unless he was coming after me, I needed to get over it. I don't want a man I have to go after... 1
kaylan Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Good luck. And I hope you guys discussed any potential break up causing issues before moving (like if either of you were with another person during your break up.) Weve all read of those revelations ending a relationship after a break period....so with the move and all, make sure you guys are open and honest about everything. Thanks for updating us.
FitChick Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Now you can invite PhillyDude over for dinner. 7
eleanorhurting Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Vegg im so happy for you. I had no idea you went through a breakup recently. I guess it happens to the best of us. I am glad it worked out for the best for you.
iris219 Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Now you can invite PhillyDude over for dinner. Make sure you give him sufficient notice and don't ask him any questions. Glad to hear you and the BF are back together. Hope you love this side of the country. I know it's a big step for you to move away from your family. Good luck! 2
Imajerk17 Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 A word of warning about the summers here in the East: It's not the heat, it's the humidity. (Yes I know you are leaving Phoenix where it gets to 110...) Anyway veggirl, congratulations!

Are grown ups generally emo? Cause it's not like I'll be enrolling in the local high school or anything lol, so I think it'll be okay. Imajerk, I noticed the humidity when I visited, it was weird. My hair got all fluffy. It was cold so it didn't really feel humid but I was like what's going on with my hair? Is my hair allergic to cold weather?! and then I was informed it was humidity. So maybe I'll have more bad hair days than I do here but I suppose I'll manage There are always ponytails!

My hands crack and bleed a lot during this time of year.
