Separated 3 weeks, slight pos of reconcile-get her Xmas gift?

Still at hotel as my wife wanted me out after a heated argument. Mostly Nc, except for a few, but less and less from me as of last 10 days(except for my daughters).

25% chance we reconcile I would guess (20 plus year marriage), and no deal breakers that occured, infidelity, abuse ect.

Question, should I get her a Xmas present? She has done me really no major wrong (except for her not wanting me in the house currently).

This is just me, but, I don't think it is so great to be put outta the house over the holidays. I certainly wouldn't buy a Christmas gift for the person soon after. Thee is too much thought involved in that.

 

What about a compromise? You could get her a giftcard for a toystore or a family restaurant to take the kids like IHOP or Chucky Cheese (you know - definently a kid place that does not serve alcohol, a gift card she cannot recycle with another person). But also get you kids individual gifts. What about that idea? She would then have something under the tree. Wrap the gift card in a small box, and simply get a basic XMAS card, and sign it "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year" - nothing gushy. Whatta ya think of that? Yas

Yes, after argument, wife said she was uncomfortable, thus I left. I do not want to be w someone who doesn't want me there. Also have 2 teenage girls at home. I guess I could have stayed, argued even more, but that would escalate things further.

Duck, I think my idea of a Xmas gift, is a result: loneliness, holidays away from my house and family. I believe it's a syndrome , like kidnap victims who sympathize with the kidnappers.

Yas, good idea but my kids are 16 and 18 and any gift card I would get them, she could utilize. If they were youngster ie chucks cheese I would do what u suggest.

I'm leaning, the heck with it.
