Confused cookie111 Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 Ok, so there is this guy i met at work. He doesnt work at my work, he just works as one of the company lawyers.. He came to our xmas party and i was talking to his boss for a while and we got on well - he came up and started talking too.. he seemed really shy and only talked to those he knew.. we were all drinking and having fun and I was talking to all my workmates and having fun and mingling... He approached me about 2 or 3 times to ask me to go back and chat to them, and i said i would, but as i was having fun and mingling i only managed to go over a few more times and only stayed for a lil bit to chat before i ran off again. I then went outside to play "cricket" with the team and he and his boss followed me. We have quite a few things in common etc and i ended up sitting with him on the grass for about 20 mins just chatting. I then decided to run back inside and said i would be back in a sec and i ended up getting distracted and staying in. They came back in after about half an hr and he was sitting there on his blackberry. I approached him and sat with him for a while just talking and stuff and i was so close that our arms were touching. My Boss came up and again said straight out 'you are both single, you should hook up- haha!' and my boss then walked away. I said 'well maybe..' and he then said, but you are going away to the US (I'm moving to the us for 6mths to 1yr) and I said i will be gone for 6 mths to a year and ill be back. He then said 'well call me when u get back...' and i said ok cool... He even told me he remembered the first time he met me in the office and when my boss said we were both single then too! We then all went out to another bar and we got talking about New yrs and i asked what he was doing and he said not sure at the moment, I said to him well - im going to be at this bar - so y dont u come... he said ok... sounds cool... i then passed him my phone and asked him to put his numbers in and that i would txt him. He put his number in and pranked called himself so he had my number... We then continued drinking with everyone else and that was the last time i really talked to him. We got seperated and we didnt end up talking for the rest of the night... The next day or so i was expecting a text and then i wondered perhaps he thought i was just being nice to him as i was being nice to everyone and i wasnt overly paying him much more.. So i decided to txt him three days later.. My txt: 'Hey, hope you weren't too hung over the other day How are you?' half an hr later i got back 'Hey! Good! Did you kick on much longer with my boss and the others after??' and i replied back half an hr later with 'haha, na i was home before i turned into a pumpkin! Are you one of the lucky ones on holidays yet'? and i havent received a reply back... Have I read this totally wrong? Is he not interested - then y ask me to call him when i got back in 6 mths or reply back with an excited sounding txt with a question and not answer..? What do you all think?????? I kinda want to get to know this guy before i leave in 2 mths and see where it goes or even just a friendship... I feel so disheartened right now...
