WhoIAm Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 I would like to hear everyone's beliefs on this: Women cant control their emotions (You can be safe with one women as she will follow your lead emotionally) vs Dont put all your eggs in one basket (some women will hurt you regardless so watch yourself) There is someone for everyone vs Some people are incapable of long term relationships.

Every women is different. Many can control their emotions quite well while others cannot. A normal person, male or female, has feelings and those are not the easiest to control although the display of them can be controlled to an extent. Some emotions can perhaps be easier to control than others. 2. Dont put all your eggs in one basket (some women will hurt you regardless so watch yourself) Relationships are always a risk, even right up to the end. No matter what stage they are in they can blow up in your face. The man can do it...the woman can do it. Have courage, go in with the attitude that you'll do your very best, and live the relationship as it unfolds. Again, whether or not a female hurts you totally depends on the circumstances. Only a wicked person sets out from the start to hurt you. 3. There is someone for everyone I think so, however if a person has complicated circumstances, demands, or shortcomings it may be more difficult for them to find an accepting, acceptable mate...but it surely can and does happen. 4. Some people are incapable of long term relationships. Most people are capable of long term relationships with the right person, under the right circumstances. I do suppose some people, for various reasons, may be incapable but you just have to accept that. If a person isn't ready for the long term thing, it simply won't happen. 3

Excuse me: These are not 'conventional wisdoms'. These are things you have come to believe as true or applicable, maybe - but they apply to both genders. This isn't exclusive to women - as TonyT pointed out, emotions are felt by both genders, therefore such traits can be found in both sexes - but not in every member of that sex. This is generalising, and I therefore disagree with you that they are either Conventional - or Wise. 1
Angel Heart Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 WhoIam, Nothing much to add b/c your other posters did such a wonderful job. Please remember we are just human and everyone is unique. For 2013, perhaps find someone you're compatible with and take it slow; get to know her well enough to see if she is worthy of your time and attention.
