Insaini Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Little background: -Dated for 3 months -Recently broke up -Have been in no contact with her for about a week now My ex girlfriend dumped me 3 weeks ago. She said she needed space and time to find herself, blah blah blah all that bs. We kept in touch, but only minimally. I wish I hadn't responded at all now that I understand the dynamics of NC. Fastforward to now. We're both on winter vacation right now. Its been officially a week since I've talked to her or texted her today. But she has literally texted me everyday since Saturday and I have given her no response. Here's what she sent me. >December 17th: "Look at this clean baby :)" (she was referring to a piece of dirty glass I let her borrow a few weeks prior...dont ask) >December 18th: "Did you get my text last night?" >December 19th: "(My naaaaaaaame) (she put extra letters) >December 20th: "Is there a reason ur ignoring me?" >December 21st: "Would it kill u to grow up and at least tell me why ur not talking to me?" LOL. The last one really made me laugh. It was especially funny because a got a text from an unfamiliar number saying "hey!". I replied and what do you know, a couple minutes later I get that last text from my ex. What this tells me is that obviously she told her friend to text me to see if I would respond. I haven't responded to any of her texts. Honestly, its not that hard for me and I find it a bit amusing. Anyway, on her FB yesterday she wrote "Its okay Mayans, we all make mistakes" which makes it kind of sound like she regrets breaking up. Why is she continuing to contact me even though she knows I'm ignoring her on purpose? Ego boost? I am open to reconciling with her, but I'm not really sure of her motives here. What do you guys think?

Kisliean Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 You don't really know what her motives are unless you talk to her. If you're open to making things cool between you two, then talk. If it's painful and you can't handle that, just let her know you need your space also. Either way, I don't feel like ignoring her is going to make the situation better. She'll just be angry at you, and it seems like you don't want that, so either tell her straight up you want space, or find out what she wants. She's probably just texting you to get an idea of how you'll react to her speaking to you.
