I didn't try to find a stat for those but that's what I generally see.

I think using the word "younger" misrepresents the reality, since 50+% marry women withing 2-3 years of their age (although the man is usually the older one in that scenario). Within 2-3 years, in my mind, is "similar age".

 

It makes sense, too, that most husbands are a couple years older, because most men aren't ready to marry until a couple years later than women. So you've the average man marrying at 29, and the average woman marrying at 26.

I would prefer to marry a younger woman. Most women who are 35 and over just want to settle and slow down. I want a young one who can keep up with me. Make me feel youthful.

Depends on how much younger the woman is. In general, yes, men marry women who are younger than them. It's reasonable to have a 1-7 year age difference, but when you're going 10+ years you're really in for a few challenges.

Attraction isn't about "what makes sense" its about what turns you on. Most women don't pick men based on "what makes sense" so I don't see your point.

I don't mind your thread title but your stat reading is wrong hon. Based on that table, less than 60 percent marry younger women. Math class needed for you?
