I wonder why women get so worked up if someone has implants....

Just read my previous post upthread. Some posters who condone men rejecting women with implants are the same ones who chastise men who reject women for being fat. I thought in the US we had control over our own bodies. Maybe that will be changing, given how they are taking away our freedom bit by bit.

My cousin and my mums friend have boob jobs. My cousin got them after she had children. They aren't porn star like or over the top. I had no idea until my mum told me!

What if the person is getting lifts or implants not specifically to get a bigger size, only to make them look normal again?

Why is everyone so defensive? I never thought about doing this, my boobs were perfect before. Until they turned into something that doesn't match my body. I want to feel normal again. I want to be back to the C cup I was my whole life up to 2 years ago. What's so wrong with that?

I am not telling my story to get your feedback. I don't need your opinion on this. I only share it to show a real life story so you open your minds a little.

I am against putting a size that doesn't fit someone's frame. I am against doing it to increase your wannabe porn start look. I am pro it if you're doing it to fix boobs that are bothering you due to weight loss that deformed them, if you have kids and are sad about your looks, if you were born with uneven breasts and things like that.

Stop being so judgemental. Do you also think people who lose a leg should not get prostetics because it's not "natural"? Gee. Get real.

Wow. I think you read way too far into my simple comment.

We're up to page 7...I'm sure this will cross over the page 10 mark today.

Setting aside all the hubbub about whether it's right or wrong, before you make any decisions you might want to have a look at exactly how a "lift" (mastopexy) is done. You won't ever look "normal" again, there will be significant scars. Also, there's a very distinct possibility they won't feel normal to you at all. Because of the way the surgery is done...your nipples will have a new address...you may lose sensation in one or both of them.

I think you have the right to do whatever the hell you want to your body, but as someone who is saying sayonara to her own natural breasts in less than 24 hours, I would definitely advise you to actually watch the procedure before you make any decisions. It's a pretty brutal surgery and not something to be taken lightly. Voluntarily undergoing any major surgery for anything less than a serious medical threat, such as death or disability, or pain management is something that strikes me as a bit foolhardy. Yeah, I know people do it all the time but it doesn't lessen the true significance of such a huge choice. It's a big deal and definitely not something a bunch of strangers on some random message board should flippantly be advising you to "just do" or "not do".

Given the choice, I would definitely be hanging on to my 42-year-old-nursed-three-babies-battered little boobs.
