TheZebra Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Well, my guy has finally decided to show some initiative and asked me out to lunch today. The problem? I was already in a lunch when he contacted me and didn't see his missed calls and texts until like an hour later. I texted a quick 'sorry, phone in purse, didn't see your messages' but that's it. I feel like if I leave it at that I'm being too aloof, but if I ask him about lunch some other time this week I'm being too clingy. If you were the guy, what would you prefer?
Pyro Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 I don't think that asking him to lunch this week is clingy but if you think so then pick a day next week.
veggirl Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 How is it being clingy to ask him to reschedule? Your text back should have been "sorry, my phone was in my purse so I missed your messages. I was already at lunch, can I get a raincheck for Xday?" 1
todreaminblue Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 I dotn think its too clingy to reschedule i think its honest you wanted to have lunch with him but you missed his calls and you still want to do it so reschedule..its considerate not clingy......best wishes....deb
Author TheZebra Posted December 19, 2012 Author Posted December 19, 2012 Thanks guys. I saw him in person, apologized again and suggested a couple of times I was free this week. We're getting together on Friday The reason I was scared was because for the most part I've been the one initiating contact and all of my friends say I need to be more aloof, mysterious, and make him come to me. They scolded me for inviting him to a basketball game earlier this week, so I just felt insecure about what to say to him. I know it's something easy and stupid, I just don't want to screw it up.
