SilverSprings91 Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Hello, Long story short, my boyfriend broke up with me about a month ago, and having no contact with him has somewhat convinced my mind that he is dead. It really feels like he died. I want him to feel the same about me right now, so I am not going to go on Facebook, cause obviously when you die you can't check your Facebook! I think that if he or any other friends, if they actually give any ****s about me, would realize I cut the Facebook habit and get in touch with me some other way. Any thoughts? Overall I am sick of Facebook bull****. 1
bluefairy812 Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 I cut Facebook off for the same reasons and it didnt do anything for me... If u do that do it for you and no one else... It doesn't matter what you do if a man wants you he will want you.
Mike_d Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 It doesn't matter what you do if a man wants you he will want you. yep, truth. someone that wants you will walk through fire, break walls down, overcome any obstacle. man, or woman
Simon Phoenix Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 You know you can always block him on Facebook so you can use the site but still not have contact with him, don't you? 1
KatZee Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 You know you can always block him on Facebook so you can use the site but still not have contact with him, don't you? This is exactly what I did. Why adjust what YOU do just because some a-hole happens to be linked to it? Get rid of him. Delete and block him and get rid of his friends/family. Or if you don't want to delete anyone else, unsubscribe to those people. I unsubscribed to probably 50 people on FB that I was mutual friends with. I don't seek them out, I don't get their statuses or their updates or pictures or anything.
Author SilverSprings91 Posted December 17, 2012 Author Posted December 17, 2012 I'm not staying off Facebook just for him, I am doing it for me so I can have better communication with people I do talk to. I am a strong advocate for face to face communication. and besides, blocking him will make matters worse, and if he sees that I am not posting, he will know that I am busy with things way more important than facebook.
Bumaga vsyo sterpit Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 I still stalk my ex's Facebook sometimes, but it's really out of nothing more than curiosity, like surfing any other webpage when I'm bored. I'm definitely way over her.
sadbunnyy Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 i went on his facebook a few weeks ago and i was devastated to see that he was commenting with some girls so i deactivated my whole facebook page because i knew i couldn't handle it. to protect myself from anymore sadness i decided to avoid facebook all together. i'm just going to disappear completely out of his life...his wish will be granted. he didn't want to be with me anymore so that's what ill do... 1

Simon Phoenix Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 I have no problems with Facebook. I have my ex's news feed blocked and I haven't gone to her page once in three months and it's worked fine. I can surf that site fine and keep in touch with whoever I need to keep in touch with without having to worry about seeing something I don't want to see.
