jbsoccer Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 Just broke up with my gf. Ive posted elsewhere on the breakup. We work together every day.. How do i approach this? Friendly? standoffish and aloof? (PS i broke up with her initially but i hope we end up back together. Shes has ex bf issues and needs to get over him)
Renard99 Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 In my opinion, I say play it somewhere between aloof and friendly. I'm not one to be rude, so, when I see my ex in the street I say 'hi' or I acknowledge her with a nod of the head or a smile but I don't stop and I don't talk (other than to say hi). The rest of the time I don't attempt to go near her and avoid her if I can. If I'm busy I simply ignore her, I have better things to be doing. I say, just simply acknowledge her, with 'morning' or 'hi' but other than that, if you have no reason to speak to her, then don't. Show her that you're not being a jerk whilst at the same time living a life without her. Of course, if you need to speak to her about work matters, simply keep it formal and keep the conversation on work matters.
