My now ex boyfriend of 10 years told me a week ago after work he doesn't see a future and he's bored with me. He doesn't want a family, doesn't want a relationship, but wants to remain friends. He has been infatuated with another girl for quite some time, but didn't state that's the reason he's leaving.

He had been planning to move out for a couple weeks I guess and looking back, I noticed he had really distanced himself. I had asked him when I noticed if there's anything he wanted to talk about - he always said no.

He broke up with me on the 5th and is staying here until the end of the month. He is trying to be 'friends', but it's torture for me. He is so happy. He is laughing with his friends, talking about how awesome it is to be single, and carrying on like that. I'm crying in my room.

He asked me the other day if I wanted to make christmas dinner with him.

Is this guy insane?

I had to ask him to repeat himself because I wasn't sure if I heard right.

He can eat dinner by himself; i'm going to spend it with MY family. He told me afterall that he didn't want a family and that's what families do.

That is an awful situation... You must be really strong to be able to put up with him there for that long after the break up...

I hope you have friends that you are able to hang out with too...

:)... Good Luck!

I have no hope for mankind and it's because of people like this... It is beyond me how people can just pick up and walk away from relationships without any regard to the person they've spent so many years with.
