Hi all, I am in a situation where my hours have been cut to part time within the last 6 months. My husband and I are really struggling, especially since he's making minimum wage, also part time. I like my job, but I also need full time and/or better pay. My pay has been reduced by 1/3rd when I took the drop in hours due to lack of business flow. My boss is also being very cheap and adding on former employee duties to the existing 3 of us so he can save money with a few less people and pay us the same. A few of us were promised raises when we were hired a year and a half ago and it never happened. I'm getting several interview offers for non-marketing jobs and I am inclined to take them if they pay more and/or are offering full time. I ultimately want to get into online marketing, but our financial situation is really dire, so I am wondering if it will make a difference if I temporarily do a non-marketing related job until something else comes along? My boss also emphasized to me that I have to meet quota, because for what he's paying me, he can pay for facebook adverts and get better results. He wants the same results as I first started...with 10 less working hours per week. So a layoff could be possible and I wouldn't be surprised if he tried to fight unemployment benefits. I have a year and four months of online marketing experience.
