StudentResearcher Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Hi Everyone, I am an undergraduate psychology student at Manchester Metropolitan University and I am conducting research on the psychological well-being of prisoner’s partners for my dissertation. This research will help public awareness of the effect of imprisonment on a loved one and could also help towards providing more support for prisoner’s families. To take part in this study you must be a female living in the UK with a male partner/spouse/husband/boyfriend in prison. The questionnaire should take roughly 15 minutes to complete. Your participation is voluntary and completely confidential and you are able to withdraw from the study at any point throughout the duration of the survey. Thank you for your interest in this study, if you wish to participate please click the link below (or copy and paste the link into a new internet browser) to be directed to the questionnaire. Eclypse Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 I'm not sure I'm game enough to try that link, but I doubt you'll get a strong response here. This might be a better forum for that kind of thing Prison Talk - Prison Information and Inmate Support Community
amaysngrace Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 What compensation is provided for participating in this survey? 1
Author StudentResearcher Posted December 14, 2012 Author Posted December 14, 2012 Eclypse - Thanks for the Prison Talk forum, I have already posted in there just trying to reach as many people as possible. Do you mind me asking why you don't feel game enough to try the link? I can ensure you its just a 15 minute survey which is completely confidential and there's no way that the answers can be traced back to the participant. Amaysngrace - By taking part in this short 15 minute survey you will help public awareness of the effect of imprisonment on families and could also help towards providing more support for prisoner's families. In addition you may receive the final written up report if you wish. Thanks for your comments
Author StudentResearcher Posted January 15, 2013 Author Posted January 15, 2013 Thank you to everyone who has taken part already! Only three more weeks to complete the questionnaire if you wish participate!

Obviously you aren't one Either way, I can't really help with your survey as I've never been in prison or know anyone who's been in prison (thankfully).
Author StudentResearcher Posted January 23, 2013 Author Posted January 23, 2013 The questionnaire is now open to those living outside the UK as well. Thank you to everyone who has already participated. If you are interested in taking part, the deadline to complete the questionnaire is 9th February 2013.
