He doesn't want a serious relationship

The guy I've been seeing for the past few months has serious commitment issues since his last relationship ended badly, with him getting hurt after years of seeing his ex. Because of this, he doesn't want to get serious with me, even though we have been seeing each other for a few months now, since he thinks that all relationships will end badly and the next girl he wants to marry the next girl who is his girlfriend (he's just turned 20.....)

Lately we've been spending lots of time together, always at each others houses and hooking up. We aren't exclusive but he says that he is starting to feel worried if I go out since he can't trust me and doesn't know if ill be with other guys. He now feels that we are getting serious and wanted to end things, but decided not to.

When we first started things, we both agreed not to be serious and since we've been in a kind of 'seeing each other' limbo for a while he wanted to end things if they don't progress.

We decided that since term has ended and were home, in different parts of the country, for Christmas that we'll carry on and see how we feel when we get back. But now I've realised that I really do want to have a relationship and I'm scared that if I tell him this ill be rejected as I don't think he'll ever be ready.

I don't want to tell him this through a phone call or facebook but I've been so down, crying and not able to concentrate on anything. Should I tell him now, tell him when I see him again next month, or not say anything and move on as things could just go wrong?

He's telling you doesn't want a relationship but is worried that you will date other guys? Then he wants to stop seeing you because you are getting to serious? huh?

 

He can't have it both ways and you should not allow it.

 

If you really want a relationship run away fast and far from guys like this. He's only 20 so its not really surprising that he wants to be free.
