Looking at the positive side

I find myself going through some pretty typical ups and downs while dealing with my divorce and my future former husbands dating. I decided, after reading a post on LS that I can't find anymore, to make a list of the positive things I will get out of this experience. This way I can go back and look at it when I feel like I may need a reminder.

 

1. My new apartment is on the 6th floor with mountain views

2. Community center membership for $8/mo (includes free fitness classes)

3. I will never have to hide anything I do

4. I won't have to deal with seeing him every day or waking at night to find he spent the night at his whores.

5. I get to do what I want to do when I want to do it

6. I get to watch the TV I want to watch

7. I don't have to do his laundry anymore

8. I get to park the Benz in the garage EVERY DAY! Not just when he decides it is okay

9. I do not have to show him every receipt or give him unfettered access to my bank accounts or IRA.

10. Never again have to listen to him tell me how horrible I am

11. I won't have to deal with really really loud music or TV when I have to wake up super early for work or school.

 

 

I am probably going to add to this later.

 

Anyone else want to make a list, too? This might be a nice bandwagon to jump on.

1. No more worrying about what she is doing when I'm not with her.

2. No more parenting her about how bad fake tanning is.

3. No more parenting her about saving money instead of blowing it on frivolous things.

4. I feel free to be myself and be nice to anyone without worrying about whether or not I am flirting.

5. My drive to gain muscle weight has increased.

6. My drive to get rich has increased.

7. I got to church more often and feel like I've become an all around nicer guy.

8. No more worrying about whether or not there is a better person for me out there, now I know for a fact that there is!
