I talked with J last night. Big bit of news.... She isn't 22. She is actually 28. (I had assumed that she was 22 because she graduated from college, but in fact she had done a lot of cool stuff for 6 years and then went back to school.)

Man, what a let-down. It just isn't as much fun for me to say you met a 28-year-old as it is saying you met a 22-year-old. Nothing like being called a predator by the usual LS Gloom-And-Doomers, and if she is 28 I can't get that.

Haha, no.

She seems really cool, and I am looking forward to meeting up with her this weekend. That much more now that I actually know a bit more about her.

But I AM TERRIBLE at guessing ages. My point still stands about going for whom you are attracted to and not worrying about the age thing.

Man, what a let-down.

Why are you letting it get to you? It is just a number and if you are attracted, what's the big deal?

Sheesh...

Did you even read the rest of my post? I WAS KIDDING about it being a let-down.

What are you 32, talking to and flirting with a 28 year old???

Someone call Chris Hansen!

You have four years on her. You clearly have more life experience than her. She obviously is incapable of intelligently deciding if she wants to date a man who has experienced so much more. CREEP! PREDATOR! HOW DARE YOU????!?!?!?!!?

:D

Congrats, especially since she turned out to be older, especially since I am one of those people who wrinkles their nose at older men who go after women a decade younger than them.

Oh? I guess I read wrong. I thought he was 32 and she was 28.

Oh if he's 38 and she's 28 yeah. Not a fan.

Although 38/28 is a lot closer maturity wise than 32/22, so that's good.

You're just saying that because the women a decade younger than you aren't legal, yet.

Just wait till you're 30 and still want 20 year old's.

a 20 year old has nothing in common with a 30 year old. The 20 year old most likely still cares what mommy, daddy and her friends thinks, isn't old enough to drink legally, and isn't done with college yet. The 30 year old has most likely been working for several years, and knows what it's like to live in the real world. I could go on and on and on about how much they don't have in common.

Yes, because everyone lives life in this pattern.

You know what I mean, the 30 year old has lived a lot more adult life than the 20 year old.

I get what you are saying. However I don't think age is a good indication of that - it usually is the case. However I do agree that people should date people who are in a close/similar stage as themselves. If that makes sense.

Please don't go on and on and on, because nobody cares.

Whatever the age (assuming legal age), people will be with each other or they won't. You can get on your soap box and talk till your throat is bleeding, it doesn't matter. What matters is...does that young AND attractive girl want to get with me and do I want to get with her. I don't know if lots of girls are attracted to older guys, but I know they are attracted to me ;)

I'm not cheering you on anymore.

And since all women supposedly have a price:

"Hey Little Girl, Would You Like Some Candy?"

I'll take a Snickers bar.

I wasn't doom-and-gloom on you. Have fun!

Dude I don't even date 20 year olds now. 21 is the youngest I go. And even then, sometimes their maturity level is spotty at best.

Heh, that's probably just me then.

I really don't care about a girls age, as long as she's legal, though 21 is strongly preferred so that she can at least drink. And I'm 31 :p

I know a guy who dumped 2 girls when they were around 21 because they wanted marriage.

So he got married yrs later with a 28yrs old doctor.

He has been verbally and physically abused for going in 2yrs now.

Breeding [family ... who are your ppl girl ?] trumps age many times.

Last time I checked this was a public forum?
