Just venting..

So I have this crush on a guy. He broke up with his gf and is finally single.. We've been texting a bit, we joke around, etc.. I finally realized I have been making a fool of myself.

Here I am today going to the restaurant with one of my gfs. A place that I know he doesn't hang out at. Guess what, he was there. Like a moron I went ahead and said hello.. his answer when he saw me was "jesus christ". Yep. I went ahead and kept on being a moron, might as well bury myself deep right? Told him they were welcome to join in, he declined. That was super awkward.

We work together, his remark might have been related to work being everywhere, or it might just be "not her.. damit".

When he left I got a "bye Samillia" with a smile that I personally translate into him making fun of me.

The good thing about it is that it instantly cured me of my crush.

I'm not an idiot, but I really felt like one today.

Eh.. it's ok, you're right, "it happens". just sucks that it did. The good thing for me though is that I'm going to enjoy my humiliation since it's going to make me concentrate on my life more, meet someone new, my friends, school, etc.. (starting in January! Going for nursing at 38 y old :) ).

Nursing is a great career choice. And nurses have it made(aside from some nasty things they deal with LOL...ever smell someone with c.diff.?)

Don't think of it as an act of being humbled. But a blessing that you didn't run with a jerkoff.

I'm with you on that one, his answer really was a d*ck move.

As for nursing, the only thing I really fear is vomit.. hopefully I won't see too much of it

Oh you are going to see lots of vomit. We go through well over 65 basin washes on our acute care LOL. You shouldn't be cleaning it. Most likely house keeping will. Wait till you try condom catheters and open colostomy...no odor eliminator helps. Poor patients :(

Ok sorry but.. what the heck is a "condom catheter" lol?

Edit: I googled it... sounds like fun.. ahem..

A type of catheter that has the rubbing attached to a rubber...well basically a condom with a tub you'd place over the penis to help hold the tub in place...they are one piece. It is not fun.
