ladyhawk553594 Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 You see it on almost every website that has to do with getting over your ex: "Instead of remembering all the good times, remember all the bad times you had in your relationship". As crazy as it sounds, my ex and I literally never had any bad times during our 9 month relationship. Not one fight, disagreement, or anything (Believe me, we thought that was weird too). I guess all I'm wondering is how I'm supposed to move on when all the memories I have to dwell on are all positive. I was doing so well for a couple weeks and now I'm kept awake at night just thinking of all the amazing experiences we had together and how I wish I could have it back. It also doesn't help knowing that even though my ex broke up with me, his feelings have not changed towards me at all. I believe what he told me was genuine in regards to our break up, but it almost makes it harder that things did end on such good terms, you know? Please give any suggestions to keep those memories from disrupting my life and making me relive the break up over and over again.
judithlove Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 hey, im going through the same thing but we dated for 2 years. he still calls me and texts me and i just cant stop thinking about him. im trying to think about him being with someone else sleeping with some one else. i think you need to not contact him
Gottabestrong Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 What did he tell you when he ended things? The reason he gave you may help you believe the breakup is for the best.
BillEdrich Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 If you both had such a good relationship, then why did you guys have break up? Any reason you would like to share with us? And if you want to forget your ex, I think first of all, you'll have to stop any kind of contact with him. Because unless and until, you have contact with him, you can't forget him. And I know it is very easy to say, "think about something else", but no doubt it becomes very difficult at times to think about something else. So, what I would suggest you to keep your mind busy in some other things, like if you like using internet, check websites of your interest, read articles there etc.
