I went to the supermarket yesterday after my workout. Saw this really cute blonde in black spandex. So I went over and teased her about how she was picking out her apples. (<-------Insert phallic joke here.) We talked for a few minutes (I made references to how old I am) and then I found myself asking for her number. She gave it and we texted a bit last night.

We'll see how this goes... I'm hoping she is mature enough for me, if nothing else we could have some fun.... should be interesting!

So one 22 year old girl found a man in his late thirties attractive and that means all or majority would? I'm confused!

Never mind.

I would be pleased, too! :bunny:

I'm saying that a guy just looking to date shouldn't be thinking too much about age. A lot of young women don't like older guys but some do. And some women don't like older guys in theory but then when they meet a cool older guy... Approach whom you are attracted to.

I went on a great date this summer while on vacation with a woman 10 years older than I am. If you had asked me before that if I would consider a woman in her late 40's I would have said no. But when she told me her age I just laughed. I was attracted to her anyway. Age is (almost) just a number.

Oh I don't mind him having fun at all specially since I dont think he is really a jerk. Im just not sure what he is trying to say.

It depends on the guy, he could be attractive.

I'm trying to figure out how I would react if I was at the grocery store and a random dude approached me and made a phallic joke as I'm shopping...

The produce section is great for phallic jokes. Mellons, cucumbers, and if you're feeling really adventurous, how good that cucumber tastes when covered with that creamy white dressing....

No. For the record, I did NOT make a phallic joke, nor would I recommend someone going there. (When I wrote out this thread here I could see some smartazz making a phallic comment so I preempted that.) In the approach I kept it clean. I made an observation about how she seems to know her produce, and things went from there.

Did she call you sir?

Do you feel weird talking to young girls? I'd feel predatory and inappropriate if I tried to pick up a 22 year old boy.

It's sort of part of the appeal I'm afraid to say

I was (very) attracted to a guy twice my age not too long ago so it's totally possible. Turned out he was gay :(

What was the phallic joke. "Can you handle me the way you handle those apples?"

What kind of references did you make to your age. "I'm old enough to have fathered you when I was a teenager."

How do you know she's 22, did you ask or something.

Well I never said 22 year olds aren't attracted to late 30's or lat 40's or any age for that matter.

were you sexting?

You'd laugh and we'd shake hands and make plans for later.

Why would he feel weird, he is here bragging right?

I feel predatory and inappropriate when I'm trying to pick you up. You just bring that inappropriate predatory side out of me. I guess you are my 22 year old boy.

What is the definition of an angry old prune?

The clearest definition in reference to this thread would be some one who says 22 year old girls aren't attracted to guys in their late 30's so LEAVE THEM ALONE!

Funny how it doesn't work the other way. A 24 year old guy being interested in a 35 year old woman isn't well received by either the woman or society...

Posted

Disagree.

I'm much more attracted to men in their late 20's/early 30's than dudes in their late 30's. And I'm 33.

And then there are the sausages in the meat section.

Who says 22-year-old girls aren't attracted to guys in their late 30s?

Angry old prunes.

And we continue with the food theme...

When I was 22, I wasn't interested in guys in their late 30s. My sister married a man 23 years older than she is - an old prune (using your words) of her very own.

They are both consenting adults so let them have fun.

22 year old girls, especially cute ones, are addicted to their smart phones, Twilight, facebooking and binge drinking. Good chance her parents might still pay her rent. Never had a relationship more than a year or so, which consisted of prom and keg parties.

I just have to wonder what she could possibly have in common with a late-30's man.

Never worked out for me. Of course no situation has ever worked out for me, so maybe there's not much to go on...

Not a girl obviously but I was on my own from the time I was 16 and bought my own home at 23 so there are some people who are mature for their age and often if they want a good relationship they might have to go a little older. It's what I did.
