Dumper tells me i'm still a great girl.. what's on his mind?

Hi guys.

After sort of painful breakup, I tried to act decent.

We had some money put by both of us, and I gave it back to him.

He tole me thank you, and I got kinda mad "Was he waiting for this money?"

So I asked him how you feel about me doing that, and he answered me

he doesn't care about the money and he feels he broke up with a great girl.

And I made some good phrases for his life, and he answered me back,

"Don't care about my happiness. You please take care of your own happiness."

Does he really want to end this?

Getting confused...

Why that dumper reacts this way? Does he just want to be a nice guy at the moment of breakup, or does he regret about the breakup?

Any similar expriences you had..?

What's on his mind, in a word, is guilt.

 

He feels bad that he dumped you. That does not mean he wants to get back together though.

 

You did the right thing to give him the money back. Now move on.
