El Brujo Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Years ago, I was visiting my mother when she was watching Dr. Phil, and he turned to the camera with his big dopey blue eyes and said "who'd want to marry you??? (meaning marry someone like themselves), implying that this would be narcissistic. ME!!! I'd love to marry a female version of myself!!! She's the 6'2" non-conformist who's as delightfully freaky as she is pretty!!! Most men probably would avoid an openly asexual woman who lives outside the box, but everyone on LS knows I am NOT most men. Would you feel attracted to an opposite-sex version of yourself? 2
ThaWholigan Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 I don't know to be honest . I think I need a girl who is slightly different from me.
sweetkiwi Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Purely intellectually speaking: Yes. Physically......not so much.
Nightsky Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Hey you remind me of myself. How about we get you all operated on and if I'm happy I'll consider you the female version of myself. Now if you don't want to do that consider this, the female version of yourself would want to marry another female version of yourself not you. You really have to read into these type of questions. 1
SmileFace Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Would I date male version of me who was attracted to females. Umm, no.
GirlontheLam Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Not quite. We'd have a lot of fun...but at some point ....well it just wouldn't work out. We'd get annoyed at each other. I need a slight opposite for balance. Basically, someone who can encourage me to not fall into my bad habits.
Nightsky Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Would I date male version of me who was attracted to females. Umm, no. You see you fixed the proposition. A male version of yourself that was attracted to females... You should also add in not flamboyant as a man. Heck lets just keep changing "him" till he's hot yet still call him the male version. You see I think people who answer yes to this question lack the creativity to imagine how much it wouldn't be that great to date a version of yourself like people such as Smile face do. I on the other hand want to clone myself yes with xx instead of xy so I can than speed age the person, download my mind into her and than make her love me. I'll chain female me up in the basement that I don't have. I'd be all you're in a womans body and I'm stronger than you... nanee nanee poo poo

I always wonder. Wouldn't male me be pretty darn dandy? Then I actually think about it - a male me. Oh goodness... I can't imagine what kind of deviant he will be. I mean would he have gone thru all my life experiences? Would his life be the same as mine? Would he have an alternate Smileface family? Since any difference wouldn't make him a bit like me. How would you actually define yourself in this situation or are you only thinking of appearence or personality? Male me may be awesome but he wouldn't be for me. Even if I was bi - I wouldn't date me as a female.

Even if I was bi - I wouldn't date me as a female. I always imagine female me wouldn't even have an alternate family. So making her like technically a sister who was just never born from my mother yet came from some magic or science magic still makes it super weird. Than I have to make up some lie back story for her unless I want to be like "funny story this is female me but not into girls and for some reason lets me **** her..." I don't think their can be a female me just out their in the wild. I mean I'm to much man.

Plus I was thinking the lost sibling thing too but I have a brother who can pass for my twin if we were the same age so that is just f-ing gross.
movingon12 Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 I've always had alarmingly similar opposite-sex versions of myself as friends - not similar in appearance, but in intellect, interests, background, likes/dislikes etc. When I was young I dated guys that were similar, but from my 20s onwards I only dated guys who were almost the opposite of me in almost every way (race, religion, nationality, language, hobbies, musical preferences, talents, skills....). I can't see the point of dating someone who is the same as you - what would you learn?
Nightsky Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Does she have to be Asian...? I'm pretty sure the female version of you would be of Nordic descent.
SmileFace Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Does she have to be Asian...? Haha... she may not date you if she is. Just kidding. I actually know a guy who is the opposite sex version of me personality wise but we clash so much that we get each other but can't stand each other. It is really weird.
USMCHokie Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 I really don't think you will want to bang a chick with a manly amount of chest hair. Or one who is unusually tall with a deep voice...
USMCHokie Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Haha... she may not date you if she is. Just kidding. Wow, that hurt.
Eternal Sunshine Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Whenever I came across male versions of myself, I was highly attracted to them. But they all said that we are too similar to date. Anyway, research has proven that similar couples tend to have longer lasting relationships than "opposites". I find that people with opposites attract mentality are choosing partners that they will never be able to feel close to - and they like it that way. Typically commitment-phobes, emotional unavailable people etc.
somedude81 Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 I would go crazy for a female version of myself. Hell I practically chased her for two years. Yes she was a real girl, and not my clone, to the best of my knowledge. Trouble is, a female version of myself wouldn't date me. She would have way too many options and wouldn't dream of settling for me.
CptObvious Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 (edited) god no, and im pretty sure she'll end up killing me. Best case scenario she'll look like a blonde 6"4 version of Gina Carano. If I can customize her physically in any way then yeah, I'd trade my life for her. Edited December 11, 2012 by CptObvious
Nightsky Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Can the female version of myself like at least 4 years younger than me? Does the female version of myself also enjoy the idea of being a stay at home mom?.. this female version of myself is starting to sound nothing like me. 1
