Hey everybody,

I'm in finals week, but I think I may have a chance with a girl in one of my classes and I wanted to see what everyone else thinks.

So all semester, she's sat a few rows ahead of me but I've never really talked to her. Most of the times I said something funny (either in response to the prof or just a stray comment) she usually laughed, every now and then looking back with a smile. She's really cute and really nice to everyone, as far as I've seen.

A few days ago, we had our last class and I found out I was part of a small group that didn't have to take the final because I've already got an A. As I was walking out, she noted this and said something along the lines that she was sad that we wouldn't see each other again. Normally, that would have seemed like a green light to make a move, but I was a bit sick and not thinking straight, so my first thought was that she was just being nice/friendly and I didn't think too much of it till I got to my car and kicked myself.

So, I've been thinking about it a lot and I can't figure out if she was saying that because she likes me, or because she's just really sweet and likes her classmates. Some nice friends of mine are like that. I figure I might go back on the day of the final and take a shot anyway (what's there to lose?) but I like to think things out a little beforehand. Makes it a little harder to get phased/psyched out in the moment.

What do you all think? Now that I've written the post it seems pretty obvious but I'd still like a second/third/fourth/etc opinion.

Sounds like a good idea to me, she gave you signs...go for it! Worst thing that happens is she says no, which is far better than never knowing.

Very true, thanks for the reply =) I think I'll look for an opportunity and if it doesn't work out, it's not like I'm gonna have to worry about it affecting my classes, I've already got my A :D

In case anyone was wondering, I asked her out. Great success!

I can't say how many times I thought about just bailing out and living with the "I wonder what if"s but I'm so happy I didn't! I don't know what will become of this, but I couldn't really care less right now
