my family was out and seen my ex. She was out drinking with her girl mates.

They said they think she tried avoiding them! Then was on the phone for a while.

It made me feel like crap hearing about it!

Of course it does. I think we would all like for our exes to disappear from our lives completely after they dump us and stay invisible until we are completely over them maybe even after. It's annoying to think that she's living life without you, but the reality is she had a life before you, and now she has a life after you that she'll keep on living. So we'll just do the same.

What makes it worse is I'm as at home, drinking by myself feeling sorry for myself. I didn't want to go out with my mates because I was so unhappy. It makes me slightly angry.

I wish I went out now, chatted up women and tried getting numbers!

Argh!!!!

I would tell your family to not give you updates.

I said I didn't want to know when she said she seen her. But, then I asked questions. Painful. I just feel like my ex is laughing about me, having a great time.

Why do we always think the worse?

Do you have a platonic female friend who is mellow and good at chatting who you can bring with you when you go out with your mates?

Even if your ex brokeup with you, - it doesn't mean she is having a great time herself.

I think you def need to go out with FRIENDS.. DONT stay at home. My friends bugged me till I went out, because my close friend went through a similar BU like mines.. and he told me he tried to kill himself. He was so depressed and said there is no way he is gonna let me suffer. That the BEST way to get better is to NOT be alone.

So I spend lots of time at least once a week with my friends. In fact I am going to hang with my bud tmrw evening and have a few drinks. I woulda gone today, but I got some assigment work to finish.

This is the benefit of living with family too. You don't feel alone at home you have people around.

I could not imagine me being in my own apartment somewhere in the city all alone. It would be SUPER depressing right about now.

I'd advise against it too... it made me feel like **** after!

Not worth it unless you are having jsut ONE drink with a friend. But over drinking just makes it horrible.
