Genie1 Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 Hey all! Just had to ask this to see what others think. I'm single. Have been for a while. Met a guy from work, had a date, flirted loads after the date too - then he totally went quiet. Really annoyed me. Anyway, forgetting that aside, his best mate (who is married with kids so there's no matching there)... Also happens to be my friend too. And we text silliness to each other about work. He doesn't know that I really like/ went on a date with his friend (well, at least I don't think he does!), it's a small work place. And he was joking with me about the single people these days and he tuned around and said "I'm surprised a girl like you isn't already snapped up! The men must be intimidated!" And I felt like sayin back "yeah well you're best pal ruined any chance!!" So if others think I am good looking and act shocked when I am single, why haven't I got a bf??!
soccerrprp Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 An excuse....really, w/o really knowing anything about you, why think one was intimidating just because you're single and attractive? It's more likely an indication of his own insecurity.

pbjbear Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 I am a woman who recently when out with a guy who is a professional fitness person and was way too hot for me. I didnt trust him- guys in particular focus heavily upon looks and while Im not ugly, Im attractive, this guy could easily get another girl hotter than me. So yes, intimidation is involved in why I dont want to see him again (along with a few other things)
gaius Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 Unless someone wants you for themselves, they are just blowing smoke up your behind when they talk about what a great catch you are. That being said, I have no idea why guys aren’t sticking with you. It could be a variety of factors. None of which I can determine by what I've seen in this thread.
