I have...officially heard everything.

and...kind of see the light. All this time I thought it was cause I was short (5'4.) All this time I was doubting my own physical appearance when I had friends and complete strangers adamantly say vice versa.

A girl recently told me this. Almost verbatim.

What happened? When were these negative traits? So what I am a virgin at 23? Is it so wrong of me to not want to sleep around with everything with a pulse? SHOULD I sleep around with everything with a pulse?

WHELP! FOREVER ALONE. that is me. :(

No it's not bad, I'm quite similar in that regard I can count the number of people who I've actually been sexually interested in on the back of my hand. I was a virgin at your age and I confused the **** out of guys and girls as they couldn't read me.

I just wasn't interested in people really not physically at least. I don't know what I'm saying really other than there is nothing wrong with being a virgin it's not a badge of shame.

Confusion is a big one for my peers. They have constantly tried to hook me up with free bootie. The results were always funny. I was in the same room with one of the sluttiest of sluts my friends could find. and I mean realllly slutty. I took her hiking, came back, and we finished the night off with a movie. It was funny because when the guys came back, they were like "wait you did WHAT? you were supposed to sleep with her! not frollic on a damn mountain and watch a movie! "

Idk, this generation would disagree. I heard all the assumptions. That I must have a tiny dick, must be gay, must be gay with a tiny dick, must be a communist (???) List goes on.

By intimidating she means you're kryptonite to any sort of vaginal moistness.

Lol 'splain please.

Ah man you made me laugh, been in similar situations myself. People trying to set me up and yeah it never worked. So many people think I'm gay, because I'm not interested in ****ing everything that moves.

She could be intimidated by your being a virgin for a number of reasons. It could be the idea of being your very first time scares her in and of itself. A sort of performance anxiety. Best believe women do perform during sex, at least the ones worth having sex with do. She could also fear that you won't know what your doing and could hurt her in some way. Then there is the "stigma" of being with someone who's a sort of sexual minority...most people over a certain age aren't virgins. That makes you something other than normal and average. To a very large number of people that alone raises suspicion and anxieities (gay, *_ck size etc.)

Being a gentleman could be intimidating because if she really likes you and your nice that can be scary.

People can't handle someone being into them more than they are into themselves. This is really only a problem for those with low self esteem.

Then there is the fact that falling for someone can be scary even if you are totally into them. To fall in love is to give up a little bit of ones independence and self sufficiency. To give a sensitive part of yourself to someone else and trust them not to hurt you*...which there is a 100% chance that at some point they will. That's scary for any sane person.

*While talking about emotions this is physically true too. Think of the damage a evil person could do in the guise of oral sex.

That is not indicative of someone who is gentlemanly.

Referring to women as "sluts" = someone with a bad attitude.
