Because he's amazing and makes her laugh and treats her the way she's always dreamed of being treated? Granted, I might not be interested enough in a really obese guy to get to know him that well, but 30 to 50 extra pounds doesn't bother me a bit. And sitcoms reflect reality? In my experiences, women won't bother getting to know a big guy in order to find out if he can make her laugh and treat her well. I was raised to treat ladies like women, and my parents actually had me take public speaking and etiquette classes when I was younger. But that does me no good because I never get a chance to show it.

My current partner is 6'2 and 250lbs, very strong (former martial arts sensai) with a beer gut. He feels bad about his weight and as far as I'm concerned I think he would look even hotter if he gained another fifty pounds. Maybe you should try dating a bear. They're pretty big and heavy. 1

I am thin now, and there are guys that look at me now that would have never given me a second look when I was average, let alone when I was fat. And surprisingly, this doesn't bother me. No one can help who they are attracted to, and I appreciate anyone that appreciates the work I put into my body. You'll know what I'm talking about after you lose a bit more weight. I promise.

But some people might call you racist because they're white and all the brown bears would be jealous. What attracts you to big men?
