irc333 Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 I've met some women (not online, but in REAL life) so I do get out. LOL. Actually, these are the women that are mostly in question...why? Because they probably wouldn't be caught dead on dating sites either. Anyhow, that being said, I met them through other real life social circles, like Facebook gatherings or through other events through friends. Well, let me give an example, these two women, probably early 30's were discussing how men at these events hit on them or just out in the general public, and how they've given them wrong phone #'s and the like. I did, however, hear them mention how they've had guys that would "stalk" them (as they put it). Of course, that's an overused word THESE days...so we don't want to get into that interpretation of the definition. Usually they are of the harmless variety. I kind of laughed saying, "Man, that's cold!" One has a profile on a social networking site with her back facing the camera, holding a puppy over her shoulder....you don't see her face, just the puppy on her shoulder. I've seen another one covering the lower part of her face with playing cards, but you could see her eyes though. Are there women out there so paranoid that they go through great lengths not to be found online? I am starting to put them in the place of, "Wear wedding ring to avoid men" situation. Or, is there a certain type of women that gets so much attention from men they find UNattractive, (which yes, I've met a woman that admitted she doesn't date within her social circles, because MOST of those men are some people they'd never date anyhow or have interest in....thus she rarely attends event) They have a tendency to alienate themselves on what they consider to be unattractive, and probably have a separate social network of "beautiful" people, unfortunately they're ONLY hobby is going to upscale nightclubs (I'm referring to the 30+ age bracket). But occasionally, you'll get an attractive woman getting tired of that scene so they'll give kayaking, game night or even hiking a try....only to find 5 or 6's at the event. Usually average looking people tend to become frequent regulars of special interest groups, however, not sure if you've noticed...that the "elite attractive" they'll try it once and youll never see them again, and 6 months later, they'll popup. Some men in the group would try to get them to become frequentl "fliers" of the event, but never can seem to them to come back to "Cheers" Not sure if you've noticed this or not, but I think some women are purposely avoid men even in an environment having good, clean fun...isn't so appealing to them. Their "shields" are up the entire time. This group has a tendency to be evasive of most men or going out of their way to avoid being around them altogether, if it's a hobby they LOVE they may touch base occasionally, an then say "Screw it, I'll hang out with my married friends, just so NO man can hit on me!" Anyone notice this?
