PhillyDude Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Met someone online saturday night, the date seemed to go well and she even pulled out something she bought for me. We saw each other the next day only because I left my phone in her car. So we haven't talked on the phone since saturday just texting and all of a sudden today I sent a text saying happy Thursday and I get back "Not a good day, I been suspended from work pending an investigation" Then when I went to call her she didn't answer because she wasn't in a talking mood. So am I just being insecure, insensitive, and paranoid thinking this is a made up dramatic story to keep a distance between me and her? I haven't asked her out on a 2nd date yet and planned to do that when we talked on the phone again but now after getting that text I probably won't be contacting her at all for a while. And I;m wondering what that all part of her plan?-lol
SmileFace Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Yes this is all part of her master plan. She didn't lose her job - she just wants you to offer her some money. Women 1

KungFuJoe Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Yeah...op is definitely paranoid. Reminds me of Office Space and "Jumping To Conclusions".
pbjbear Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 OP- I am gonna have to agree with the other posters and say youre paranoid. I HIGHLY DOUBT she came up with this excuse to reject you. Highly doubtful but possible...Id go with the doubtful part. She is probably under alot of stress (I know I would be if I were in her shoes...every once in awhile I get screamed at all day at work and I dont want to be around anybody for awhile after that) so let her come to you

Kind of wish I never went on the date since the momentum now will be affected. Well the other girls will move up while she moves down.
nessaaa Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Lol. Shes funny.... Shes full of it. Shes trying to scare u away. KathyM Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 I think you've picked a real winner there who IS being investigated by her employer. To make up a story like that to reject you is just too bizzare.

To make up a story like that to reject you is just too bizzare. I sent a text saying happy thursday and that I hope she is not working too many hours Her response was...."actually I;m not working at all" My response was......"are you off today? Her response was....."I was removed from my office pending an investigation" So maybe it is real because if someone really wanted to avoid you they could just ignore your text I;m just glad I got my phone back because I was afraid she was not going to rush to bring it to me

nessaaa Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Lmao lmao lmao Damn this thread is making me smile. 1

But then the other side of my brain is saying "Why would someone reveal all of that personal information to someone she just met? I know we been talking on the phone for 3 months but I just figured something like that would be private. Maybe she felt it was ok since I already revealed I;m unemployed.

And I;m wondering what that all part of her plan?-lol When I saw the title, I was expecting something more along the lines of, "Narnia is real. I didn't make our date, because I stumbled into it, as I was fishing around for something to wear in my wardrobe." I actually wouldn't be surprised if what she told you was true. I also wouldn't want to talk about it at length to someone I just met. Maybe she thought she should just tell you, and get it over with? It isn't something that would be over in a day, it would be ongoing for a little while.

Relationships aren't your strong suit, are they?
Ginger Grant Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 I don't believe anything women say so I wouldn't be surprised. If you don't believe anything women say, why waste our time discussing every female you encounter? You aren't ready to handle a serious relationship. Why are you bothering us?
GLDheart Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Her: "Bad day, got suspended, under investigation..." You: "So you're trying to make $hit up to blow me off?!?!?" The rest of us: "w...t...f....?!?!" 1
Author PhillyDude Posted January 6, 2013 Author Posted January 6, 2013 Well just want to say that most of you were right and she was telling the truth. She sent me a text this morning letting me know she was fired from the job. My only issue is i don't think this is something we should be talking about through texting. How can I be supportive over text? And she wanted me to tell her about my new job and i just can't do it because i want to think about her feelings right now
