So I'm dating this girl and we just had our second date last night. First date we kissed and last night things escalated even more. We ended up going back to her place where we eventually had an intense make out session followed my some even more intense dry humping. Did I mention it was intense? Anyway, I've initiated contact with this girl every day since saturday but never anything initiated by her. I want to text her and tell her how much I enjoyed last night but I don't want to come off too eager either. Do you think she would be disappointed if I didn't text her about last night? I mean, we did plan another date for saturday. But it really was probably the closest, most passionate thing to feeling like sex that I can imagine. Just doesn't feel right to not tell her how I feel.

Why not just phone her and have a bit of teasing as you lead up to Saturday?

Well I remember her mentioning last night that she doesn't really like talking on the phone. We have great chemistry though, and even more things in common then any other girl I've ever dated. I just feel like it would be nice to send her a text before I go to bed tonight, telling her that I'm thinking of her or I had fun last night or whatever.

Try not to accept dry humping as an alternative to sex in the future. Just make out and advance physically until she says no or stops you. If she won't take clothes off and go on to sex, just stop yourself and say something like, "I need to go" without being mad in any way. Tell her you had fun and leave. Wait for sex, don't dry hump. I would not contact other than to ask out for the next date. Good luck.

I can't think of a time I have dry humped someone. I mean if I was into stuff like that when I was under 18 I can see it happening. However ... now? Probably not. I mean people dry hump at clubs but hopefully not as intense.

im 27.. she's 25. but honestly, it was very enjoyable. she seemed like she was really getting off from it too. i just sent her a quick text telling her that i was thinking of her. she seems into me and is always accepting dates on her limited schedule so i guess that's a good thing. i hate constantly sending those texts out though sometimes. just makes me feel desperate or too eager.

right?!? i mean, this was only the second time i've ever done this but i can honestly say it was, without a doubt, one of the most passionate moments i've ever had with a girl. this was only our second date and there has been an incredible amount of chemistry and attraction building up. i would say this was a much more intimate form of foreplay then say, fingering or even oral. i have a new found respect for it. and plus it wasn't us just dry humping like a couple of dogs. our lips were locked the entire time so it felt more like making out with our genitals constantly grinding in sync lol

Seriously OP, why wait until you've become physically closer to back off on communication? I'm not saying you should do all the work...not at all...it's just bad timing.

 

because i've been burned by girls in the past. girls aren't the only ones who have been played. the more feelings you feel for a person the harder it can be to put yourself out there. and the closer you become with someone physically, the more feelings you develop. you're left questioning yourself with things like "I know she likes me and I know I REALLY like her, but does she REALLY like me?" because if she doesn't, now you're the one who stands to have more feelings hurt. so it's just nice to know that your feelings towards them is reciprocated, that's all. i'm sure you can relate to that as i'm equally sure most people on this site can.

 

what do you mean by bad timing though? i did text her btw. she seemed very enthusiastic and excited.
