Ross MwcFan Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 In fact starring isn't really socially acceptable, 'looking' is. There is a difference. People who stare always get caught as they do it for prolonged periods of time. Not if you're walking behind them. If you do get caught, then as long as you look away I don't think it's too bad, they wont know how long you've been staring. There's been plenty of times where I've caught women just standing there looking at me, for all I know they may have only been looking for a few seconds. Personally if they were stood there for ages staring at me, I'd actually like it.
Ross MwcFan Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 REALLY?? Maybe we should experiment how you would enjoy being perved over by gay men perhaps! Oh, that would be different of course, wouldn't it? It probably is different since I doubt he's gay.
Emilia Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 It probably is different since I doubt he's gay. My point exactly. Not wanted attention is not wanted attention. ie those women don't want to be stared at. Just because they are women, it doesn't mean they should be made to tolerate it. 1
Emilia Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 I've had gay men grab my butt and not let go, and I've had some put their arms around my wait or randomly find reasons to touch me. And THAT was what should be considered perverted. Not staring. But I forgot women have the balls in the court. that's assault, no-one should be made to feel others have the right to use their body in any way
Emilia Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Hm, have gay women been checking you out? I don't suppose you've got my point
JamesM Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 In fact starring isn't really socially acceptable, 'looking' is. There is a difference. People who stare always get caught as they do it for prolonged periods of time. Best answer IMO. Giving a woman an admiring glance or two or three with a friendly smile says, "You are beautiful." Staring at her breasts or butt simply shows that you consider her a sex object. Most women like respectful admiration...even if you look at her body. What they get creeped out by is the long looks by a complete stranger. REALLY?? Maybe we should experiment how you would enjoy being perved over by gay men perhaps! Oh, that would be different of course, wouldn't it? Again. this IS a good comparison. My wife has made the same comment to me. Unwanted stares from a man who is staring can be compared to a man who gets unwanted stares from a man who is gay. It doesn't matter if the person is from the opposite sex when he is a turnoff.
Ross MwcFan Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Just imagine how you would feel. do you like it when you look around and there is a chick looking at you? of course you do. everyone wants to be desired. however, no one wants to be pursued or excessively drooled over by someone who is disgusting. so try not to stare too much. I'd actually really like that.
mammasita Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Creepers stare. Admirers sneak looks. Don't be a creeper.
Ross MwcFan Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Creepers stare. Admirers sneak looks. Don't be a creeper. Well, it's all down to opinion as to whether you're being a creeper or not.
mammasita Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Well, it's all down to opinion as to whether you're being a creeper or not. I have to disagree. Even if the guy staring at me in the gym were hot, he would still be a creeper. Staring is just rude and creepy, especially at the gym.
JamesM Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Well, it's all down to opinion as to whether you're being a creeper or not. And in this case, the opinion that matters (based on the question at hand) is the one who is getting "the stare" or "the look."

mammasita Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Yeah but seeing him as creepy is your opinion, it's not a fact. Some people wont see it as creepy, I don't see it as creepy. Ok - riddle me this batman..... Hypothetically speaking, the 300 pound woman(or man even) on the rowing machine with hair growing out her ears and nostrils is staring at you. You wouldnt think that was creepy? I can tell (based on your posts) that if someone you found fairly attractive was staring at you, you would like it.

I can tell (based on your posts) that if someone you found fairly attractive was staring at you, you would like it. I wouldn't find the woman creepy and I'd like it, but the man yes I would find it creepy, but at the same time I'd like it too because at least it means someone desires me/has sexual interest in me. But again, that's just my opinion that I'd find him being creepy, it doesn't make it a fact that he's being creepy. Edited December 4, 2012 by Ross MwcFan 1
Nightsky Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Look women are going to tell you not to stare. Her little brother might come up and say "stop staring at my sister!" Some times you just have to stare. No one from the gym staff has ever come over and said "Please sir leave the gym if you're going to keep staring at that young sexy woman... just leave now!" Never happened. The thing about a girls little brother coming over to say "stop staring at my sister" did happen to a friend of mine once, he told the kid to fck off!
Emilia Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 The thing about a girls little brother coming over to say "stop staring at my sister" did happen to a friend of mine once, he told the kid to fck off! That's a shame. Your friend should have just stopped staring as requested. Manners don't cost anything.
Under The Radar Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 I don't think we can get anything done with this thread because we all have our own interpretations of what staring is, and it also depends on who's doing the staring. If an unattractive man in your eyes glances at you for 3 seconds, he's staring like a total perv. If an attractive man in your eyes looks at you for 10 seconds, he's giving you an "interested glance". It's all relative depending on what you think staring is, and then what kind of staring you're willing to accept depending on the individual doing the staring. Allowances are always made for people you're attracted to. Plus we're not even taking into account *how* they're staring. Is it accompanied with a warm grin/smile, is it a blank stare, etc. ^^^^^GOOD POINTS^^^^^ But, consider this: Ladies, what if he was "staring" at you with those slinky glasses on with the fake nose and mustache? Would that be considered creepy if he was still working hard on the treadmill ? 1

Chi townD Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Okay, here's the deal. Women KNOW men look. So, I don't understand why they get upset and think a guy is a perv because he appreciates the female form. Hell, it's even in womens fashion. How many women have worn sweat pants with "Harvard" or "Juicy" or "pink" written across the ass. Because they know men look there so they might as well advertise there. Girls always ask guys or even other girlfriends how they look in their new jeans, or blouse, or pants. Because they know they're going out in public and people are going to look, so they want to see if they look okay. Okay, I'll agree with staring is creepy. But, a glance....don't bash on a guy. Smile and give him a friendly wink. Problem solved. 1
rocketman122 Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 I go to a pretty small gym which caters to wimps and those looking for style more so then working out. there is this specific girl who comes alot and u can see she wants penis badly. she does everything to get attention and get guys to talk to her. she bends over and does her stretches and holds it for a few seconds. she wears these tights and because she's been wearing them for so long the fabric has thinned out and is even see through with certain lighting. she this tight petite body with this huge gap between her legs. she wears this tight top and she bends over and you can see her thong tight up her azz and I cant stand it. beautiful body...face...eh. and after a workout I can stab someone with my thing. What I would do for her to let me get on my knees to sniff and taste her after her sweaty workouts..oof!! if only we men could control ourselves we could rule the world. I dont stare and try not to even look. most times I turn away otherwise it ruins my concentration and focus. unlike most men who seem to turn to goliath when a woman works out next to them, I cant train properly. I become samson with cut hair. I wish there were no woman allowed in our gym so I could have a good workout. damn you woman!

Just because they are women, it doesn't mean they should be made to tolerate it. Sexual orientation is irrelevant. She's not going to say, "What would you do if some woman was staring at you?" Because she knows what the obvious answer is, so she tries to use something else to make a little "twist" in her post to get a reaction out of me. A loaded question. Apparently, she's assuming the unwanted attention will come from a gay man and not from a straight woman staring at me. But, though...with Emilia's post, she comes off as a straight woman not wanting even attention from straight men. Nice try though.
surfer67 Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 I mean its ok but I really dont like it when Im at the gym. It makes me feel self conscious and like im in the zoo or something.
JamesM Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Actually, while men are flattered when pretty much any woman looks at them, many women are not flattered when just any guy looks at them. The comparison to a gay guy is good, because if a woman has no sexual interest in the guy looking at her, then it could be compared to the gay guy looking at you. Oddly, many women dress for other women...and not men.
